My wife and son ate here a few nights ago... AND LOVED IT... so my wife and I ate here today. I ordered the Hummus With Gyros (served with salad and pita) and she ordered the same, except with chicken shawarma. I'm not sure if my photos will do the dishes justice, but if not, take it from me: the dishes were beautiful to behold. They looked downright artistic. The food was... well... perhaps not quite as artsy, but it was very, very good. My gyros dish was tasty, with chunks of meat that were both juicy and crunchily grilled. The hummus was among the best hummus I've ever had. I liked their garlic sauce over their tzatziki sauce. My gyros came with many grilled onions. peppers, and tomatoes added, which I did not like - next time, I will make sure to ask for them to be kept out. Yes, they made it more pretty and colorful, but I didn't like eating them. The salad was plain but fresh (lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumber bits with Italian dressing). The pitas were warm. We bought sambusas as an appetizer, but they came with the main meal, so we saved them for later. Two young women worked the cash register and waited tables. They were both friendly and cheerful, but they were not quite as attentive as I would have liked. A variety of customers came in while we ate, and their company made the rather drab setting more vibrant and enjoyable. In fact, I have an idea! Perhaps the cook, who obviously has such excellent visual acumen, could be asked to tackle the interior decorating! As long as the preparation of the delightful food doesn't suffer...

This spot is a small cafe tucked in a very busy complex. Need to come from the south to park. Parking lot is one way but no signs to warn you. Anywho once you get in, it’s a very nice and clean location. Nothing too fancy but not a hole in the wall either. Seems to be family owned and operatedOn the the food: I order a 2 skewer combo. The salad came out pretty fast and was crispy and fresh. A bit small in my option but quality. The vinaigrette/dressing was tart and flavorful with maybe a hint of garlic. The plate came out in a fair time. The meat was grill fresh for sure. Very hot and on a huge bed of yellow rice which was perfectly cooked. Not mushy or hard. The oil covered humus was very tasty! They give you a side of thick garlic lemon spread that is fresh and bright with a nice after taste that goes great with the meat and bread. The lamb was tinder and flavorful and the beef was clearly marinated well. Juicy and full of flavor as well. The best part for me was the pita bread. Hands down the best I have ever had! Didn’t get to ask if they made it in house but it was perfect. I was very happy with my meal. Taking the Baklavan home but I have high hopes!!! I will be back again for sure.

I hired Gyros Town to cater my wedding reception in September, and it was one of the best decisions I made. We decided a few weeks prior to the wedding to change venues to have everything outside because of rise in cases of the COVID delta variant - we went from an all-inclusive venue to having to bring everything in ourselves, so it was very stressful/hectic few weeks, but Gyros Town made the catering process so easy. My husband and I eat at Gyros Town all the time, it is one of our favorite restaurants, so we were so stoked when they said they were willing to cater. They were really friendly and easy to work with, and we very much appreciated their flexibility in taking a huge (~135 people), last minute order. The food was delicious! Our friends kept asking us all night and after the wedding where we got the food, they loved it so much. The people who came to set up did not bring any serving utensils, though, which they quickly dealt with, but still didn't bring enough (people shoveling rice onto their plates with their small plastic personal silverware). It was just a slight inconvenience, though. Overall, great food and great service, all for a very reasonable price! [photos by Lizzie Tilles Photography]

Culinary Marvel**

Prepare your taste buds for a flavor extravaganza at Shawarma Shack! From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted by the tantalizing aroma of freshly grilled meat and exotic spices, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.

Ambiance: The ambiance at Shawarma Shack is both inviting and vibrant. With its cozy seating arrangements and Middle Eastern-inspired decor, the restaurant creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Whether you're dining solo or with friends, you'll find the perfect spot to relax and indulge in delicious fare.

Menu Variety: Shawarma Shack boasts an impressive array of shawarma options, ensuring there's something for everyone. From classic chicken and beef shawarmas to inventive vegetarian creations, each dish is bursting with flavor and crafted with care. The menu also features a tempting selection of sides, salads, and dips, allowing you to customize your meal to perfection.

Signature Shawarmas: Prepare to be blown away by Shawarma Shack's signature shawarmas! I had the pleasure of trying their chicken shawarma, and it was a revelation. The tender, juicy chicken, perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection, was nestled in a soft, warm pita and topped with crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and a generous drizzle of creamy garlic sauce. Every bite was a symphony of flavors, with each ingredient complementing the next in perfect harmony.

Vegetarian Delights: Even non-meat eaters will find plenty to love at Shawarma Shack. Their vegetarian shawarmas are a true delight, bursting with flavor and creativity. I sampled the falafel shawarma, and it exceeded all expectations. The crispy falafel balls, paired with creamy hummus, tangy pickles, and velvety tahini sauce, created a medley of textures and flavors that left me craving more.

Sides and Dips: No shawarma experience is complete without a selection of delectable sides and dips, and Shawarma Shack delivers on all fronts. From golden fries to silky hummus and smoky baba ganoush, each accompaniment is a culinary masterpiece in its own right. Be sure to save room for these mouthwatering extras—they're the perfect complement to an already stellar meal.

Conclusion: In conclusion, Shawarma Shack is a culinary gem that deserves every bit of praise it receives. With its inviting ambiance, diverse menu, and exceptional flavors, it offers a dining experience that is second to none. Whether you're a die-hard shawarma fan or simply looking for delicious food in a welcoming atmosphere, Shawarma Shack is the place to be. Trust me, you won't be...

This is an incredible restaurant, I give it 5 Stars, and I’m a very decent amateur chef; here’s why:

  1. Ok: so far I have ordered: the fouel- best I’ve ever had - as it is layered with hummus also, and fresh tomatoes , herbs - super fresh and simply delicious! I have never seen this before in this dish and it was a knockout!
  2. The chicken Shawarma - sandwich and Entre: Again This is absolutely fabulous food cooked expertly and packaged well! I think their version edges out the Jerusalem restaurant by just a little bit - which is saying a lot!
  3. The lamb gyros- again really excellent - top-notch! Next time I will order a side of Tzaziki!
  4. Customer Service- 5 Stars! - when I came in to pick up my order which was online I was greeted by the hostess with a great smile! Way to go!! This can make someone’s day - and it did! The food is moderately priced for decent middle eastern food, but since it is so exceptional I think it is a real bargain! One suggestion: If you do order online they automatically put in a 15% tip - which I think is a bit presumptuous; I was able to toggle it lower to 5%- next time I will probably go down to zero as I don’t believe in his practice- It’s funny before Covid hit you never used to see institutions putting in ‘automatic tips’ on to go orders - but now I am seeing it more often even in coffee shops and pho restaurants. I think this practice is wrong because what are you going to do when you eat in the restaurant , tip the same? It’s a strange practice and my only feeling is you should not put in an automatic tip under any circumstances this should be up to the customer.HOWEVER: In summary: RUN don’t walk here to get some food you will not be...

The food was alright but the service was far from stellar. Young lady that works the front was too busy talking to her friend to even acknowledge us when we entered. I gave her the benefit of doubt, but instead of taking our order after her friend left she picked up her phone and continued to leave us standing there awkwardly. Finally got to order and saw some healthcode no-nos while waiting. Not only was her long hair unsecured but she was actually brushing it in the same area the food was packaged! Asked a guy in the lobby to refill her used cup on the soda machine, and was drinking/setting the cup on the food prep counter without washing hands/ sanitizing the surface! Had her mask off with customer's waiting in the lobby. Proceeds to bag our food with the same unwashed hands that touched her phone, her drink, her face, her hair, hairbrush and who knows what else, while still unmasked. To top it off, she didn't even bother to put her mask on before handing us the food. Im not usually one to leave a bad review but I would have been shocked to see most of that without the additional danger of a pandemic. Management needs to walk her through basic safe behaviors. I would have been fired from every food service job I have ever had if a customer had seen even one of those things, and that was before covid. I only ate the food because she didn't have any direct contact with it, but even know I am questiing whether or not I should have done that. Keep in mind this was all in the span of about 20mins, scared to think what goes on the rest...
