"I purchased a sandwich while traveling through Denver on 08/09/18 and was very disappointed with the entire process. I ordered a Cajun Turkey with Avocado, one of Heidi's signature sandwiches. When I placed my order, I said three times "no onions please". I said this because the last two times I ordered this sandwich from this same location, I ended up with onions on my sandwich. Anyway, I was able to see the start of the process of my sandwich being made and sitting right next to my sandwich was a piece of bread with lettuce and onion. When my sandwich was eventually given to me, I asked the lady at the register to confirm that the sandwich had no onions. She called the girl back over that had made the sandwich and asked her. She had kind of a confused look on her face as if she didn't understand. The lady at the register asked her for a sandwich with no onions. The young lady took the sandwich back to the sandwich making station and proceeded to simply pick the onions of the sandwich. OMG! When she brought my sandwich back, I requested that they make me a new sandwich and said that I watched her just pick the onions off. I was eventually given a new sandwich. When I got to my gate, I opened up my sandwich.....the bread was dry, the turkey was dry and the sandwich was falling apart. Very disappointed. I use to eat at Heidi's quite a bit about 3 to 4 years ago, but then it started to go down hill. I have tried a few times over the last couple of years, but no...
Read moreThis used to be one of my favorite Denver airport restaurants to grab food to go on my Denver layovers, but this place has gone downhill quite bit recently.
Three out of the past four times I've gotten Heidis my order has been messed up, or missing items. About a month ago, my side of potato salad was missing completely. The next time I went to Heidi's, I got Cole slaw instead of the potato salad I ordered. Today I ordered and paid for the cajun turkey with avocado sandwich. I took it with me to the plane and opened it in flight to find there was NO avocado at all. It was just turkey with tomato drenched in the cajun sauce between the slices of bread. The bread wasn't even that fresh... It was dried out. It was extremely disappointing.
Given the fact that the odds of getting my food as ordered is about 25% vs the odds of getting ripped off are 75%, I don't think I will be buying food from Heidi's Deli on my Denver layovers again. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants to grab food to go, but I've had two many times where I found out in flight (or after getting to my plane after walking across the terminal to work a flight) that my order was messed up. Heidis is too expensive to constantly have issues with missing items and incorrect orders.
Today, I tried to message Heidis directly through their website, but when I submitted my message it just sent me to a page with...
Read moreI have been in a food desert and have gotten used to bad overpriced food, but this blows them all away. After going to their website and reviewing the menu I marched the long way to the end of b concourse from C.
Their actual menu, and prices, are nothing like the website, which does state it is the menu for only this location.
Regardless, because of the march and time constraints, I ordered the Italian which consisted of maybe 2 oz of a meat pile (not joking) which may or may not include all the claimed meats. The cheese is one slice on a 8” bun, the lettuce was one leaf of romaine, two very thin slices of tomato and two single thin sliced onion rings. I mean a single ring, not a slice of onion. This abomination cost me $19. When I asked for more tomato and onion, I was rewarded with attitude and one more thin slice of tomato. No onion as I guess onions are rare and expensive in Denver.
As others have reported, I had to request my pickle and grab a bag of chips off the counter.
There is absolutely no reason to...
