Hidden Gem of Exceptional Mexican food at extremely reasonable prices in Denver.
The people who live around here are incredibly lucky to have this spot in their neighborhood and are missing out if they haven't given it a try.
The owner is very charismatic and passionate about his food. He has a simple but plentiful menu with all of the classics and an a lot of different protein choices.
We ordered the Green Chili Smothered Burrito, Chili Cheese Fries, Pastor Tacos, and Tripa Tacos.
Being from California and having eaten Mexican Food throughout California, our standards are very high and without a doubt this place has exceeded our expectations.
The food here would hold its own even in LA. Our favorite was the smothered burrito. It was a perfect portion size, incredibly flavorful meat and a perfect texture with the Chili. A nice surprise for us because we usually don't find wet burritos that we enjoy this much.
The Pastor Taco was also exceptional, they serve it with Pico and some Pineapple and they loaded it with flavorful meat. Perfectly seasoned and fantastic texture. The Tripa tacos were also delicious, crispy and fatty with a bit of that funk that lovers of innards crave.
The Chili Cheese Fries were also great! Very generous portion of fries and cheese smothered in their Chili.
Overall 10/10 all around for the food, service, pricing, and the owner.

Read moreLa Sabrosita in Denver is the real deal for street-style Mexican food. I had two quesadillas, one mixed with asada and pastor, and another with just asada, and both were excellent. The homemade tortillas are fresh and flavorful, and the green salsa has the perfect level of heat. It’s a food truck with limited seating on the side, but that doesn’t take away from the experience, most people grab it to go, and for good reason.
As someone from Houston who knows what a good taco spot should taste like, I can say this place delivers authentic flavor without trying too hard. Definitely worth a stop if...
Read moreThe burritos/ food is worth the wait. Let me just start with that. The wait is kind of wild but I don’t know what their system is and when I was ordering it was just one woman by herself manning the POS and cooking the orders ahead of me. There are multiple signs on their menu, doors and windows encouraging guests to call ahead. Call ahead will definitely be the move in the future because I WILL BE COMING BACK. The chorizo burrito was tasty! Packed with flavor and chorizo!! Cheesy, HOT and filling. I didn’t need any hot sauce for this!...
