Learn from me.. Get an AirBnB or 'normal' hotel. Disappointed in my experience to say the least and no offer from KASA to make it right. The entire complex is under construction which led me down a one-lane entrance surrounded by construction gates. Not a huge deal as the Virtual Lobby does say there was construction, but it is undersold and actually knowing that you can even go down the road was confusing in itself since it's almost blocked off.
Then we get to check in. No issues there and my codes all worked fine. Getting in to the room, the Thermostat said 81 degrees. Sheesh! Not a huge deal, it was probably off while the room was getting turned over, right?! Wrong! We set the thermostat to 68 and the AC setting was 'on'. I went to park my vehicle in our room's location (listed on the keycard) and came to find out that it was a compact vehicle space to which, I did not have a compact vehicle. Turns out, there were open spaces at the base level for guests which anyone can use assuming you paid for them (I did) so that was not a huge deal. Just a misunderstanding on my part.
So I gave it about 20 minutes after check in with the AC lowered and the temperature had not changed so I texted in to KASA's chat number. After about 5 minutes and a separate phone call in to speak with "Vena"? (I believe it was), she told me to restart the system and it would get fixed. I gave it another 30 minutes and the temperature had not changed still. At that point, I tried dialing KASA's number to speak again with a customer service rep. After 22 minutes of being on hold, I finally gave up and texted the number again, asking for a refund.
30 more minutes go by and they text back, asking for pictures of the thermostat and telling me to adjust the temperature. They then tell me that they will attempt to fix the issue and ask me to do their maintenance job for them and that they could not refund me. There was clearly an issue which is why I texted and called in.
Now at this point, we left for the night and I was not going to return to take pictures or do their tests which is why they should have maintenance on call. We left a few of the bedroom windows cracked in an effort to circulate air flow. We returned around 1030pm local time to find that, the room was 79 degrees! Over the course of 5 hours, it dropped 2 degrees. We had to open every single window in the unit just to (attempt to) sleep at night and our relaxing night turned in to hearing trains, construction, whistles, the city and very very little sleep.
At no point did KASA send anyone out to look at it, offer a refund or call me to discuss. Absolutely horrible experience. I would never...
Read moreYou get a big apartment for a reasonable price in an ok location. The major drawback is that the entire service is intended to be automated and there are still some major kinks to work out. This is the second time we've booked to stay here and I don't think we'll bother to do it again. The check-in process both times was extremely time consuming and tedious. We booked with points form our credit card and apparently certain key bits of information don't get shared with Kasa with this type of booking. Both times we did not receive any check-in instructions at all. Finally after searching the internet for 20 minutes to find the right contact number we were told they aren't able to send them because Chase doesn't share our email address to them when they book. So the process is literally to book, not get check-in instructions, show up to the property to discover there is nobody at all there to assist you, hunt down a phone number online and once we were able to speak with someone they said it could be up to an hour before the instructions get sent! I sat in the car in the parking lot for 30 minutes with our family of 4 while everyone was hungry and tired. For some reason I was dumb enough to book a second time (it is a big apartment after all) assuming the process would go smoother now that we were familiar with it. Nope, exact same hassle as the first time. No check-in instructions, had to call, etc. At least this time I knew the number to call. The trip ended with the entire building being evacuated because the fire alarm was going off. Our kids woke up in their pajamas and we all left the building. I conducted my work meeting that morning from the gas station down the road. I received multiple messages from Kasa during my meeting saying they detected loud noises from my room (it was the fire alarm) and that they would terminate my stay if it continued. We later asked for a late check-out as all of our belongings were in the building after we had to vacate because of the alarm and we were told we could do this for an extra fee! We left vowing to never return again. The reason I left 2 stars is because it is a rather large nice apartment assuming you can get into it and don't get kicked out...
Read moreI had an amazing experience at The Kasa RiNo in Denver. Nestled within the vibrant River North neighborhood, this modern gem offers an exceptional stay. The convenience of a self check-in at 4pm and 24/7 guest support made the arrival process seamless. The Virtual Front Desk via mobile device was a game-changer, ensuring a hassle-free experience from start to finish.
One of my favorite aspects of The Kasa was the exclusive self-contained setup. Enjoying an entire apartment to myself, complete with a washer and dryer, truly elevated the comfort level. The modern amenities, including a resort-style pool, rooftop deck with grilling stations, and a well-equipped fitness center, added an extra layer of luxury.
It's worth mentioning that The Kasa RiNo is a new apartment building, which further enhances the overall experience. However, I did notice a minor hiccup in the form of limited coffee pods available. While it was a minor inconvenience, it would have been nice to have enough for a longer stay. Similarly, a slightly more generous supply of snacks would be appreciated given the price point, though the spacious apartment compensates for this.
Regarding the location, it's important to note that The Kasa RiNo is situated near a food pantry, which has attracted a homeless presence down the street. While this is reflective of the broader urban landscape, it didn't significantly impact my stay or overall impression of the place.
In summary, The Kasa RiNo in Denver offers a top-notch experience with its tech-enabled apartments, convenient amenities, and the ease of Virtual Check-in & Out. While there are a few minor areas for improvement, they pale in comparison to the overall comfort and luxury provided by this new...
