Marty's 47th Street Donuts Inc — Restaurant in Denver

I read the reviews (yes even the bad ones!) and decided to try this spot out. I called ahead to overcome the wait times many have complained about. Please keep in mind that this appears to be a mom and pop business and the food (including donuts) appears to be made to order. Upon arrival, I had to wait a bit, but customers were chatting, food was being made— and I waited patiently. The man working the cashier let me know my order would be coming out soon, so the communication was appreciated! My initial thought was, “I hope the food is worth the wait, because I need to get back to my desk.” That’s right, I took a small, early break to try this place around 9 a.m. Heads up, it’s busy around 8-9 lol… All I can say is that the food was AMAZING! I got it home and wasted no time. I tore into my turkey croissant sandwich and potatoes, washed it down with a Welch’s juice and followed that up with the doughy-est, crispiest glazed donut I’ve ever had 🥹. My only regret is getting two donuts. Now I see why everyone leaves with dozens!

If it counts for anything, I'm a native to NY. Since I moved I've been missing the breakfast I would get before school every morning back east. I found this place on Google maps and took my mom for our first try and ohmygod I almost cried. It's amazing. Everything I've been missing dearly. It's very small, 3 tables but it's similar to everything I loved about the breakfast spots back home. You can get homemade donuts and fantastic sandwiches with the best melted cheese I've had in a long time. Great prices for big portions. I usually get smokes turkey and egg and cheese on a croissant with an energy drink. Not sure why anyone has said the staff is rude because every time I've been here they've been amazing. 10/10 would recommend and I'll be bringing all my east coast friends here when they visit. Also, they are open on Monday! I always call to make sure because that's the SENSIBLE...

Went 20 minutes out of the way to try their donuts per a suggestion. Clearly advertising that they are a don't shop but when we walked in...not a donut in sight. Asked if they had any and was told 15 minutes wait for 2 donuts. Even if someone came to buy you out, the proper way to do business is have that person wait for their big order and not make EVERY other customer wait. We were not the only customer walking out. You open at 5am... should not be out during business hours and especially not at 10:30am. You've put yourself behind for the entire day... bet your employees can't wait until 2pm when you close for the day. Apparently they sell other things also but looking at the frustration on the cashier and hearing the kitchen worker (who's voice was obviously distressed)... we just chose to walk away. Maybe we'll try again...
