Taco Star — Restaurant in Denver

Man I really wish I could rate this place higher, after all, the Carne asada fries are the best! But lately the costumer service has not been great... I had always experienced very friendly people and great costumer service, so when it happened the first time I let it slide because I figured everyone has a bad day sometimes. But every time after that I started to have bad experiences with the costumer service. One time I went through the drive through and ordered they confirmed and gave me my total, when I pulled up to the window the guy told me ever rudely, " what did you want" so I repeated my order to him. Then he said, " Oh well we dont have that, you didnt order back there" I was shocked because just out of common sense why would someone go through the drive through and not order... I explained I did. He replied, " Well I guess I can do your order here since you didnt order back there" I just brushed it off because you dont mess with people that handle your food. We went to park and they were delivering food to other cars so I waited in my car but he whistled at us to go get the food. And that irritated me so much because that's just plain rude. I rated 3 stars because the food is really good. I hope they can go back to having the good costumer...

Today I had my second Carne Asada burrito from this place and it was amazing. This place is close to work, and I have seen it but never bothered to check it out until last week. I ordered a Carne Asada burrito and it was, in my opinion, perfection wrapped in a tortilla. I like hitting the food trucks for their burritos, and until recently, Tacos Selene on 6th was my favorite burrito place. All the Carne Asada burritos always had a little bit of gristle and I thought that was just part of the deal. Not the fantabulous burritos from Taco Star! No sir! Nothing but beautiful, lovely carne aside grilled to absolute perfection. Everything about this bad boy is perfection, from the way they roll the tortilla, which deserves its own five stars, to all the filling, just a joy to behold and to eat. I had another one today for lunch and it was just as delicious as the first, and not an ounce of gristle. They are a good size burrito, but not so big that you need a nap afterwards. Full disclosure, I am giving this place max stars on the Carne Asada burrito alone as I have not had anything else there, but if that little piece of burrito gold is any indicator, then they have...

The number 17 is by far my favorite ever! But easy to explore the menu and try something new. Never dissatisfied. They are fast! And drive thru open 24hrs! This location has no inside seating area so I'm betting if your at the hotels near by and no transportation you could walk up to the front window and they would still serve you 24 hrs. My favorite part is the next door like right next to it is del taco... and that's an ok place but very fast foody and not close to authentic Mexican food and you can tell cause all day and even late into the night... taco stars drive thru is packed. And del taco... I just dont see how they survive.. the specials at del taco cant even compare to taco stars regular prices and amazing food home made cheap and huge portions! A must have if your in the area of i70 and Peoria.. Bocaza is right there too... not as good but still good and it's like chipotle but beats them by far.. just explore this area but be sure to try this taco star... you will be full and wanting to come back for more!
