Very weird experience. Walked in to a chalk board with flavors on it, but no available gelato to see anymore? It was all in closed metal containers. I asked for two different flavors that were on the chalk board and he said they didn’t have them then added “the only ones we have are right here” i settled on Kit Kat, he dug it out of the bottom of the container and then as he was handing it over i noticed a very long hair hanging out of the cup of ice cream, i told him before he handed it to me and he grabbed the hair and pulled it out. More than half of the strand of hair was covered in gelato. He continued to hand it over the counter, so i told him i would prefer a new one, as i said that he said “a new one? I got the hair out” then he said “that was the last of the Kit Kat” so i chose a different flavor. The gelato was very mediocre. I paid $16 for 2 single scoop ice creams and was handed a 15% off for next time. Disappointed and...
Read moreThe inside is very cute aesthetically, but pretty small so we had to move the chairs around to get our stroller back out of the shop. The gelato flavors were in round metal tins with lids, so you can't see what you're ordering. As a result, the marshmallow flavor I ordered was just vanilla with marshmallow mix-ins. I wouldn't have paid $8 for a 5oz cup of vanilla if I had known the marshmallow was mixed in and it wasn't marshmallow flavored. The spoons used to mix in the marshmallows definitely weren't cleaned in between orders because I also had sprinkles and cookies pieces in the cup too. About halfway through eating, I found a dark hair in the gelato and just ended up throwing the rest away. As far as flavor goes, even for vanilla it was pretty plain and had large ice crystals in it, unlike the smooth, rich, creamy texture you normally get with Gelato. Super disappointing because I was very excited to...
Read moreWe got a coupon in the mail for this place and decided to try it on Friday. We were impressed when we walked in, it had the feeling of the gelato places we tried in Italy. All of the flavors looked interesting and we both enjoyed them. I got the mint chocolate chip and Ellen got stracciatella and peanut butter chocolate. She described them as, “Incredible!”. There was one employee working, but she did a fantastic job with keeping up with the demand, while also providing great customer service. This wasn’t as good as our favorite place in Italy, but it did surpass most places we tried there. We were expecting Italian sized portions and we definitely got American sized. I am excited to try more flavors and also to try their pannis. They even have a play kitchen and chairs for children to play with. Our total was around...
