This qdoba is usually decent. Like every qdoba, you want to check how fresh the meats look before you make a decision--because they look old as hell sometimes. And the queso diablo never looks fresh enough to eat. But otherwise they usually do a pretty good job at getting your order right and being courteous.
Today changed my opinion a little bit and made me feel like the managers are asking employees to serve questionable food to cut costs. I hope that isn't the case.
I asked for a tortilla on the side today, and the tortilla was obviously dried out, breaking on the edges and crunchy. The employee looked at it questionably and even wrapped it different than usual to avoid shattering the obviously dried out edges.
Secondly, he put a rather small amount of meat in and then teetered on how much he was going to add, before finally adding what seemed like the right amount, and then promptly taking all of it back off and leaving it skimpy.
Lastly, unless something changed, I was also mischarged. The total came to $12.30 or so, which seemed higher than usual. So I checked online, and you can see the total after tax is $11.83. So I'd assume I got charged for the tortilla on the side, which has never been the case.
And maybe nitpicky at this point, but a lot of the lettuce also had visible pink spines. While I just read that the pink spines are okay to eat as long as the lettuce isn't rotting, it doesn't look tasty and isn't very presentable.
We can call the lettuce a wash, but I personally have a hard time ignoring 3 other mistakes on one meal. I hope the next couple times I go to this location it isn't the same kind of gig, because I will quickly go to a different location...
Read moreFrom being a past assistant manager at a Qdoba . This was by far the worst experience ever . I was so excited to try the new drive through experience because that was the first time I’ve ever seen that . They had gotten my order wrong then they charge me for a water . Since when do they charge for water, not like I got a water bottle . Then as I open my food up , my food wasn’t even done correctly . I had asked for a spicy queso and salsas in my quesadilla. I had went back in and none of the employees had name tags on . One was playing with her by the food area! SERIOUSLY!! There is a certain place and time to be playing with your hair . I had said I asked for spicy queso she ( colored hair/eyebrows ) rolled her eyes at me and threw the original queso away without even apologizing for something THEY DID !! As a past assistant manager I had always trained my staff to apologize even when the customer was not in the right!! Gave me my queso and walked away with a rude face . Listen as restaurant, hire people who actually want to work and not just there for a paycheck . I don’t usually leave bad reviews unless it’s a horrible experience. I know how much a bad review can leave you guys as well .. so next time maybe have your staff smiling at all times no matter if they don’t feel like working or not . And show...
Read moreCame here for my wife's birthday outing she loves Qdoba. It was a hot day about 98 outside feels like 110 out. Not only did we end up spending 41 dollars for 2 cokes and 2 burritos (rediclous might I add only steak burritos) we asked for an ice water to give to our service animal and was charged 4 dollars for it. Obsurd . With no where to sit inside we were forced to take our meal outside. All surrounding restaurants have outdoor sitting areas except here so I was inclined to ask Jimmy John's if we could use their table and chairs to eat. Without a single issue we were told we could. As we're eating they actually brought out a complimentary ice water for our service animal. I made sure I tipped them well for their generosity. It upsetting the lengths these companies go to save a dollar today. When you pay 4 dollars for a small cup of water it's sad. I hope the owners take this review and maybe use it for bettering their customer service it's not always about the time the customer is in front of you it's about how you get them to continue to come back. In this case Jimmy John's will be getting...
