QDOBA Mexican Eats — Restaurant in Denver

My last visit was impressively bad!

It started before I even walked in the door when one of the employees was smoking RIGHT outside the entryway.

When I got in there were three people in front of me and one guy working the counter, when he saw me he aggressively yelled at the employee outside for some help, her response was equally aggressive and it kicked off a loud argument about what is appropriate in front of customers....in front of customers. This was obviously pretty uncomfortable to witness.

Eventually both employees started helping customers, but I was not sure if I even wanted them handling my food. Both employees were pretty unkempt and dirty. The girl was outfit was obviously not work appropriate either (low effort and limited....clothing). She also had her phone/wallet sitting right on the food prep area. They guy was also very dirty and his hat was thoroughly covered in sweat stains.

While I was being helped they continued their belligerence with each other and it was thoroughly unprofessional and just plain awkward.

The state of the restaurant was also pretty gross. There was a dirty rag sitting right on the checkout counter (where the push the food across), and the employees personal items, including cigarettes and lighters were strewn across one of the tables and onto the floors.

The best part of the entire visit was exchanging exasperated looks with the other customers as we observed this together.

I hope neither of these employees are managers / I hope a manager gets this location...

My boyfriend and I live around the corner from this location and eat there quite often. We have never had poor service from this location but our experience tonight really went above and beyond our expectations. We chose Qdoba because it is one of my favorite comfort foods when I am upset and I was having a really rough day. When we arrived there, we were told they were out of pulled pork and it would be roughly 10 minutes until the next batch was ready. Since that was the whole reason we chose Qdoba we decided it was worth the wait so we sat down at a nearby table. The two employees working, Sam and Taylor, were both very attentive to us as we waited, keeping us updated as to the progress and offering us drinks and chips and queso while we waited. They were very friendly and cheerful and never seemed inconvenienced or acted like we were being difficult. The overall experience really lifted my mood and made me really glad we chose to eat at Qdoba this evening. This is my favorite...

I recently visited Qdoba on Ulster Street and I felt the need to tell my experience. I don't stop at these smaller restaurants much but I was lead to try something new for a change on my busy lunch break. I usually only go to really expensive restaurants for work lunch dates but today was a busy day, so I stopped in. I really wasn't sure what they served but I thought I would like to give a huge shout out to the man behind the counter helping me. He had superb customer service and was full of knowledge. I'm thinking he might have been a manager or supervisor because he was helping his teammates with their customers as well. I believe his name tag said Adam. Thanks Adam for giving me a great experience and a clean restaurant to visit during my very busy life schedule. Also for making me feel welcome considering I have never visited this restaurant before. Keep up the good work Qdoba you made a me a lover Qdoba. I'm a firm believer that first impressions...
