*reply to hotel mgmt: Obviously, our concerns aren't taken seriously, many reported the same for over a year!
Original post: ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS HOTEL. The numerous other negative reviews are TRUE!! This 5 night stay was the absolute worst I've ever experienced. When I checked in, Kazimi promised "this is a good room, quiet, 2nd floor" That couldn't be further from the truth. every surface including the phone and remote were dirty. All surfaces and fixtures were either were torn up, dirty, stained, splattered with who knows what, broken, or in serious disrepair. Other long term guests were being loud at all hours and trashing up, smoking in and using the sidewalks and rock beds as their ashtray, and urinal. The stairwell and corridor in front of my room were filthy, littered with trash and cigarette butts that were there for the entire 5 days I was there, and it smelled like urine. If this is "your best" I'd hate to experience what your worst is like. I took photos of almost all issues, and I requested a thorough room cleaning. It didn't happen. After the 2nd night, I spoke with Mike at the front desk to change rooms. While he’s a nice guy, he really couldn’t help given the condition of the hotel and lack of adequate staffing to handle the cleaning and maintenance this place desperately needs.. I was shown 2 other rooms - one had carpet and the room smelled like a dirty dog, the other smelled like a chain smoker lived there. I didn't change rooms because these rooms were even worse than my original room. I stayed in the original room for a total of 4 nights and Mike promised he would have it cleaned before my 3rd night’s stay because the maid was still on duty. It still didn't happen then nor the next day. The 5th night, when I went back to the front desk, Mike had me look at another room. It also had numerous issues not limited to what the original room had - the smoke detector was missing (a federal law violation), the TV remote didn't have the right buttons to change the channel from the guide, and the exterior of the door looked like someone had pried it open and it was still loose - not safe. If you want to call and speak with someone, the phone system menu is way too long and cumbersome to get a timely connection with someone, and if you do get through or they don't shut off the front desk phone early, then they usually can't even help resolve the issue. Front desk service in person is an extremely long wait, so most of the evenings during my stay were wasted trying to get clean towels that weren't stained or had long black hairs folded up in them, trying to switch to a clean room, or have a smoke detector installed. I had to go to the front desk 3x before Kazimi, the desk clerk (who is also nice and professional) finally, after 9:30pm was able to come replace the smoke detector in the room I had switched to on my 5th and final night. The mattress in this room was completely sunk in on both sides - absolutely worn out, this room also was in great disrepair and smelled like bug spray. I regret having stayed at this hotel instead of checking out and going somewhere else earlier in the week. In the morning, I found no less than 4 roaches in my room - 1 dead, 3 still crawling around, and a leak flowing from under the toilet. I checked out early and got a refund for the last 2 days of my scheduled stay. I will NEVER stay at an Extended Stay America again nor do I recommend anyone else to either, but especially this location. I had a 3 week stay booked at an Extended Stay America in CA for another business trip but canceled that reservation. You have some serious problems at the Greenwood Village, CO facility on S. Quebec that need immediate attention. This experience was disgusting, frustrating, time-wasting, and anything but relaxing or comfortable. The manager apologized during checkout "that these rooms weren't up to my standards of cleanliness." To CEO Greg Juceam, you should go stay here and see if these rooms are up to your standards. I sure hope your standards are...
Read moreOkay, where do I start? I wasn’t going to make this post but they started charging for basic things like TP and trash bags. Which is totally unreasonable given the amount I paid per month here. The only redeeming qualities is the font desk staff is awesome , and it’s pet friendly . Before I tear in to the place, I just want to say. The person who checked me in was absolutely great, and accommodated me on checking in on a Sunday when I had originally planned to arrive on a Monday for a longer term stay . I think he did great and I would place no blame on him for putting me in this particular room. He even gave me a choice if I wanted down stairs or upstairs.
My problem is with the way the place is managed. I included photos of things I think are horrible. The door in my unit is damaged to the point where cold wind and even leaves just blow inside under and on the sides of the door.
The unit I’m in has a toilet that looks like they got it at an auction from Lary king’s high school. ( it’s old and possibly moldy, doesn’t flush right. Runs water constantly unless you jiggle the handle just right.
The floor when I moved in , was not mopped. It was as filthy as a parking garage / movie theater floor. No one will come to clean but once a week .. maybe.
I guess they won’t pay people enough to have cleaning daily or more than once a week. When they do clean they set unrealistic expectations for how many rooms one person can clean in a shift. So of course they don’t have time to really thoroughly clean. Which is not the staff’s fault it’s managers.
The AC/ heater looks like it should have been replaced a decade ago. I tried to take the filter out to clean it because it smelled funny, and it looks like it’s been ran on high heat so long over the years that the plastic filter frame is melted into the inside and is falling apart.
The unit I was in is under a staircase. so it sounds like pegged leg sailors are having a drunken dance party above me till about 3 AM. Now they have the nerve to charge people for TP , trash bags , and the soap that’s free at 99% of other extended stays. This manager here has no clue what they are doing or maybe they just don’t have enough business year round to make this profitable idk. How can all of us be paying ~ 1-2K per month per unit, living with outdated equipment that should have been replaced years ago and they have the nerve to start Nickle and diming their customers?!?? Where is all the money going?! Sure ain’t going into replacing all the broken things.
As well if you like to cook, don’t be fooled by the photos. The kitchen isn’t practical. The cabinets and drawers are all bolted shut . No counter space. The sink is tiny and right by the window so you have to contort your body to fit in the space to wash a dish or pot and pan.
If you have to cook anything for longer than 20 mins on the range provided, the wooden frame under it starts to smell like it’s gonna catch on fire.
Unless you have pets and have no other options. I would avoid staying here...

Melissa, the manager has been extremely rude and dismissive and with a less than caring attitude about the guest. On July 12th, the hottest day of the year and without any transportation, Melissa the property manager, decided not to extend my stay because I wrote an extremely negative review online. She told me that it was my fault because I decided to stay even though I wasn't satisfied with the room. She also said I just should have left and because I didn't please, they won't responsible for my injuries, for the filth in the room I entered and everything else that I experienced. She said that according to them it was cleaned and checked by their inspector and it passed. We just bought $300 worth of groceries that we had to leave in addition to all our cookware. I was a quiet and extremely clean guest very respectful of the property. Can I believe this manager, Melissa, is a property manager of this hotel. Every time I've been in the office, it looks like she spends most of her time gossiping in the back with others.||Friday, July 5th I checked in for a 30+ day stay and had made a prior reservation for two adults, one queen and one pull out couch. Before evening entering the room, I noticed there wasn't a pull out so they changed me to the room next door. The room had not been cleaned, extremely filthy, no microwave, most of the wood facing on the pull out drawers were missing with sharp nails and Staplesl sticking out. I mentioned this several times to the office and showed them pictures. I was told I would have to put in a work order to receive a microwave even though it states each room comes with a microwave. I injured both of my hands on the sharp of the drawers in the kitchen, bathroom and the TV stand drawers. There was leftover food alongside the refrigerator and there was at least, a fist sized hole in the bathroom door. There were no pillowcases on the pillows, there was a large brown stain on the bedspread, the couch smell like cat urine. I spent 7 hours yesterday and over 8 hours a day cleaning and again requesting a microwave so I could eat. The filth is undescribable, the holes and marks on the wall are disgusting. The offices supposed to be open from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday and I could get no help all day. Two ladies were in the back chatting and when I came in the office for a third time, one of the ladies stuck their head out of the door as if she had no time for me. Again I told her I had been hurt, that it was filthy and that I needed a microwave to eat and she...
