If I could give zero Stars I would. My husband and I have lived in the neighborhood for over 10 years. Literally across the street from this location. And we frequented this location for as long as I can remember. We have always ordered delivery. Never once did we go and either. There have been several new owners and the food tends to change with the new owners as expected. But the most recent owners have lost us forever. We ordered are normal amount of food which is over $60 worth of food because we have a bigger family and we like to have leftovers. Anyways this last time which will be the last time ever, the lady was very short with me when I was ordering but I honestly chalked it up to them being busy and the time of night that it was must have been a busy time for them. So whatever I Shrugged It Off. She told me 30 to 45 minutes which is pretty normal for a busier time even though I ride across the street. Cool so we're waiting and all of a sudden my son comes out from his room saying how starving he is and when is the food going to be here? Well honestly I had kind of Forgotten so I looked at the time that I called and it had been 2 hours and 45 minutes. So I called and I was like hi it's been almost 3 hours since we ordered and I was just wondering what was going on? At this point I was very nice and trying to just figure out what happened. The woman who was short with me when taking the order freaked out on me and said that I ordered for carryout not delivery and that it was my fault and that the food was cold and that they were going to deliver the cold food to me immediately. I told her no I would like fresh food it was not my fault I have ordered from here for over 10 years and although you are new owners you can see just from my phone number that I've ordered delivery every single time from you guys taking over as well. She continues to scream at me and tell me that it's not their fault it's my fault I don't know what I said and they would not make new food. So I told her do not deliver the cold food to me and that I would be finding a new delivery place for my future orders. I have never been treated like that by anyone in the food industry before. Mind you we have always tipped at least 20% to the delivery driver and we ordered about three times a month I would say sometimes more because we love Chinese food. This was our first time trying out South Garden as the 4.2 rating sounded like there could be potential to be part of a take out rotation.

My wife, mother-in-law and I, we ordered a good selection of items to sample for our first time eating there. We ordered chicken lo mein, sesame chicken, chicken pad thai, a combination noodle bowl and we received a free order of cheese wontons.

Chicken Lo Mein - My wife and mother-in-law give this dish a 5/5. Very fresh with good flavor. Not too "greasy" for the noodles. This could be ordered again for us.

Chicken pad thai - We all enjoyed this dish and we rate this a 5/5. Fresh, good flavor, and again not too greasy for the noodles compared to some places. We would get this again.

Combination noodle bowl - This was my dish and my wife had a few bites. But I rate this a 3.5/5. I am torn giving this a mixed review, but, let me just say that this dish, with all the different ingredients as part of the noodle bowl, was pretty damn good. However, the included fish sauce prevents this dish from rating higher as the fish sauce is verrrry bland, surprisingly flavorless. If that is the way their fish sauce always is, I'd maybe try to add or supplement their noodle bowl with a store bought fish sauce that would no doubt provide better flavoring as a sauce to add.

Sesame chicken - This dish is where it all came crashing down. My wife and I rate this a .5 or 1/5. We were of course hoping for some great sesame chicken, but instead, out of the full sesame chicken dinner order, there were just a small handful of actual breaded chicken. The majority of the sesame chicken was just breading. The crazy thing is, is that when you split pieces in half, what may look like white chicken bits, is actually just very white breading. Very deceiving looking but the proof is obviously within each bite. This dish was utter nonsense compared most other places around this area. I wish I could put no stars. I ordered off grubhub which had decent reviews...I should have looked on google. This place was horrible. I was actually happy at first because the delivery was super quick. First off, when the driver got to my apartment, he called me and told me to come to the parking lot to pick up my food! I paid $4.00 plus tip for delivery. This may sound petty to some but when you've been working all day and want to just relax and then order food so you don't have to cook or do ANYTHING and pay for delivery, I expect it to be delivered to me. The chicken on both mine and my boyfriend's meals was so soggy and neither had any flavor. My boyfriend's even asked what spice level he wanted, he chose medium and you wouldn't even know the meal was supposed to have spice! We ordered fried rice but we got sticky white rice with soy sauce or something on it. Again, no flavor. Hot and sour soup and egg drop soup tasted like dirty water, with...you guessed it...NO FLAVOR. We called grubhub and the delivery driver is on his way to come get this food cause I would much rather use my $40 for something that is actually edible. Do not order or eat here. You will regret it along with the money...
