Don’t be fooled by an illusion of “convenience” by dining here because you are a Hyatt guest. There are several other nearby dining options, any of which would be better than this joke of a restaurant.
For one, ordering felt like a visit to a used car dealership. Multiple attempts to upsell while we were ordering which was super tacky, we just wanted something basic.
We chose the 2-egg breakfast, which came with a choice of bacon, pork, or chicken sausage. Which was a great option because we don’t eat pork. it was $16 but came with no toast. Oh you want toast? That’ll be a $5 up-charge. No thanks.
The food came quickly, and we dug in. I noticed the chicken sausage did not taste right. Suspicious but unable to find the waitress, I went to the buffet and peeked at the sausage options, and sure enough, we were given 3 pork sausages (instead of the single larger chicken sausage). Problem is, I’d already eaten one 🤢. There’s no excuse for this type of mistake, especially where they are so quick to demand upcharges and premiums. How about you get your sh!t together before devising ways to nickel and dime your customers?
As far as the atmosphere goes, it left much to be desired. There was an employee adjacent to our table slamming silverware into a bin for 10 solid minutes. It sounded like 100 spoons being tumbled in a clothes dryer, all within 5 feet of a full dining room. No common sense by the employee, he could have gently placed them into the bin, but chose instead to drop them from several inches above. It was loud, obnoxious, and completely unnecessary. Just goes to show the lack of common sense and incompetence of the staff.
Also noticed that they have raised the buffet price by $2 every year, again demonstrating an unwavering commitment to extracting as much cash as possible from guests, all while failing to provide any quality. Restaurants that operate this way never have a good outcome, it’s a slow burn that inevitably ends in failure. And I can’t...
Read moreA friend and I ate here twice during a convention this weekend and were very disappointed. We had eaten here at a convention in April and were impressed with the restaurant at that time. This time the service was lousy (barely any wait staff working for a Saturday) and most of them didn't seem well trained. It took forever to receive our meals, the dinner meal took over an hour to come out of the kitchen. The food was only ok and they have greatly reduced the portion sizes from normal sizes to tapas sizes. I ordered a salad and despite the name of heirloom tomato salad, it contained at most half a tomato, two slices of prosciutto, a sprinkling of basil and a little if something else that I can't remember. It literally was only 6 bites to finish. Because we didn't want to go far, we ate dinner there as well and I ordered the half chicken. It was an acceptable size (according to my friend who had eaten there the day before, the only descent sized meal on the menu) but it looked breaded. I have Celiac Disease and had ordered it gluten free. So I asked the staff, who didn't know and sent it back. The chef came out and told me that it wasn't breading but just crispy skin. Well within an hour I was very sick. Overall, I am very disappointed and hope the great restaurants I've been to in other Hyatts haven't changed for the worse too. I am a loyal Hyatt customer but if this is the new norm, I'm definitely...
Read moreThe breakdast buffet here is one of the best I have sampled. The entre and dessert items here are excellent. Don't let the price make you order from the menu because with coffee free with a buffet, this is the best deal here. The service here is the best I have ever experienced. Ganil was my server both days and exhibited exemplary service both mornings that I had breakfast. Her positive kind attitude is probably why service gets high ratings on gmaps.
Additionally, I had lunch here. On gmaps says it is closed but is incorrect. I had Root25 burger with frys. The burger had great Char and taste. The fixings were fresh and crisp. The truffle frys were some of the lightest and crispest I have tasted.
Overall, food and service were excellent here. It is one of the best food service groups I have had the...
