I typically go to the Sweet Cow on 32nd Ave, but decided to come here since it was closer to my house.
The guy behind the counter asked what I wanted, which was a triple scoop sundae, and he made it incorrectly (I've seen people here make a sundae dozens of times and he clearly had no idea how to make one). He also put the wrong toppings on the ice cream. This wouldn't have bothered me so much, but it felt like he was giving me an attitude for expecting him to fix my order. The deep sighs and body language that clearly expressed he was both displeased and impatient came across as very rude. I get that we all have bad days, but, buddy, you were the one who messed up my order, not me. The only saving grace was the female behind the register who recognized me from the other location and called me triple scoop since she always remembered that's what I order.
I also noticed he dropped one of the scoops on the floor and put it in the water tub with all the other scoops that were being used. I'm almost positive those ice cream scoopers were not in a bath with anything to disinfect them since they're taken out for every customer order and dropped back in, so that was pretty disgusting and I hope I don't get sick.
I used to frequent Sweet Cow every weekend. The last two times I've gone I've had bad experiences. I did used to love going here, but it's gone downhill over the last few months and I won't be frequenting this ice cream...
Read moreLong time lover of sweet cow, although I’ve been silently protesting all of their establishments after they took away the peanut butter and jelly from the core menu. It seems my pleas for compromise have fallen on deaf ears.
Needed a blood sugar boost this past week— around 2 in the afternoon. The nice gal who is always there (think her name is Kara or Kayla, pretty sure she’s the manager) is truly a delight to interact with even when there is a line of people out the door and she’s the only one working. Sadly, that’s an all too regular occurrence here. I know that staffing is difficult anymore but my patience is tested when there are two other team members working and neither one of them bother to help. It’s a little irritating to see someone packing pints to load in the freezer when there are 8 people in front of me, all of them wanting samples, shakes and sundaes, a lady who needed them to come outside to take her order because both her child and her dog weren’t acting properly….. catch my drift?
I shouldn’t have to wait half an hour for a scoop of ice cream in a cone, period. I’d sooner drive to little man and wait an hour— at least they have PB&J on the...
Read moreWe had a horrendous experience with GrubHub. However, Daniel went above and beyond to make sure we got our order. I don’t know if there has ever been a more exceptional experience with a store. He stayed after closing , used a different platform to ensure we got our order. To the owner of this location, you have a manager that’s a diamond in the rough; this kind of care, customer service and hard work, truly is exemplary and I hope, truly valued by this organization. Also, the ice cream is amazing and they have worked with me in the past to guide me and make sure my order didn’t contain the item I’m allergic too.
Since I can’t add another review. Just wanted to add that we had had another exceptional experience here. Never, has a place had such outstanding customer service. This kind of care on exists in movies with small towns.... Daniel and his staff go out of their way to not only show kindness and respect, but true genuine care for their customers. For real! Are you listening corporate ? Have this man train everyone on customer service!!!! Also, please give all the kuddos and not the candy bar. He goes...
