I came here yesterday with a few friends for lunch and to be honest, I didn't find anything redeeming about this place. We came as a couple and the waitress didn't offer us a second menu for each couple to order off of. We actually predicted it to be an issue, but the waitress never stuck around long enough for us to mention it. It actually seemed like she was annoyed we were there. We started off with 2 apps for each couple. We got the chips and queso and the papusas. The queso was hot, but you can tell that it was sitting out as there was a thick skin sitting on top of it. The papusas overall were just sad. I love papusas and I was too quick to rave to the other couple how good they are. I don't even know what those where. It was their failed interpretation of one. No one finished them. I got 3 tacos which were the carne asada, duck confit and al pastor. The carne asada was so bland and borderline tough. So much meat fell out the taco, but I didn't even bother eating it. The duck confit is the only reason I gave a 2 star rating. I didn't even try the al pastor since I was disappointed with the majority of my food. When it was time to pay, low and behold, the waitress told us that we couldn't split the check. We knew that this was going to be a problem, but she never stuck around long enough for us to correct it. When we asked he about it when we tried to pay, she seemed like she just wanted to get us out of them. I won't be returning due to the food...
Read moreNot my cup of tea. So for the good. We came in for lunch and tacos were decently priced. We got 6 tacos and chips and salsa for about $53 which is pretty typical these days for a small local place like this. We also got a good amount of meat in the tacos. They didn't skimp out. So we were full.
What wasn't that great was the chips and salsa. The chips are store bought chips. The salsa is different. They tried to be unique but they just didn't taste great. Wouldn't buy again.
The tacos weren't good either. The worst part was two of my tacos had crema on them and they put about a tablespoon of crema on each taco. It literally made me gag there was so much crema. You could smell it coming off the plate. I burped for about an hour afterwards. barf
The carnitas state they are smoked on the menu. They aren't, I couldn't find the smoke flavor in them at all or even artificial smoke flavor. They taste like they were made in a crockpot and came sopping wet like it too. Sadly most of the meats were like this.
Overall, the place was clean. You get a decent amount of food. Sadly this place isn't for me. It was mainly the crema that did it for me. Once you make me gag it's hard coming back from that. The crema should be drizzled on not poured/smothered on the tacos. Also don't say you smoke meats when it's clearly...
Read moreWorst customers service ever! Two days ago, I went there with a friend. I was very excited to try this restaurant because it looked like a relaxing place from outside. We got there and we asked for a table on the patio. My friend wasn't hungry so I just ordered my food. Our waitress was Rhonda. She brought my food and I started to eat while my friend was talking, but after a few minutes another waitress came to ask me if she can take my plate away, I respond that I was still working on it. A few minutes later Rhonda came and asked us if we wanted something else, we responded that we were fine at the moment, so she give us the bill. A few minutes later she grabbed the bill, and I had to tell her that I hadn't put the money in yet. A couple minutes later after she took the bill with money she returned with the check and asked us if she can clean our table. Then she came back again to put clean plates on the table, then she asked us to leave the place because they have people on the waiting list. Even though they had some open tables already. This was the rudest treatment I've ever felt in a restaurant!!! We were not respected as guests. Because we had nothing left to give her...
