The Bindery — Restaurant in Denver

Unbelievably rude and unprofessional staff. I stood at the hostess stand for several minutes while a waiter made direct eye contact with me multiple times and completely ignored me. I moved to the other side of the dine-in area—same thing. Several employees saw me standing there and not one person bothered to greet me, ask if I needed help, or even acknowledge my presence.

Finally, I approached the barista to ask if I could be seated. Instead of helping, he snapped at me to go back to the hostess stand. I told him I’d already been waiting there with no response, so he aggressively led me over, grabbed a menu, and started to seat me. Then he stopped to talk to the kitchen staff, came back, and told me I couldn’t sit because they were “too backed up” and food would take 15 minutes. When I said that was fine, he cut me off and said, “No, you’re good, you can leave,” in the most condescending tone possible. He literally refused to serve me and chased me out of the dining area.

I was exhausted after a 5 a.m. flight and didn’t have the energy to argue, but this level of disrespect was completely unacceptable. Not one staff member offered an apology or even suggested I order from the take-out side. I have never experienced such blatant disregard for customers anywhere—let alone at an airport restaurant where people are already tired and hungry. A sandwich for $25 is surprising but expected. The cashier forgot the importance of greeting and asking how to assist the customer. When paying in cash was upset since she processed the payment as with card without waiting for the customer method of payment. No thank you for your purchase or have a nice day. Food - Espresso cinnamon roll = perfect bake on this delicious scrumptious baked roll. Icing not to over kill and the cinnamon/Espresso interior was perfect!
