Does not matter if you have the money to eat at tokyo joes every day, I would say that I cannot. I have been going every day for about a month. In this time employees would ask me if I needed a reciept, and I would say no, as time went on my order would always be different than what I asked for. Today I went in and was ignored by staff for a few minutes, then one of the male workers said we will be right with you. (I was the only one in line, I almost walked out.).asked for big bowl mahi mahi and white rice extra rice only , cause I'm diabetic. The order was brought to my table being salmon with less salmon and white rice than a big bowl. Then a employee came out and asked me how was my food and I replied great. I lied, cause I complained before and that led to any order for food that I ordered to be incorrect, who knows what is done to my food if I complain, and also none of the employees say anything, but you can see the expressions on thier faces like they have an attitude problem. Oh well fare well tokyo joes. There are other restaurants to have a meal at. Thanks for the quick reply, but I do not want to waste anymore time on this negative experience I have had with tokyo joes, I have decided to not go to that location anymore. If you want to do anything for me, I would ask please just do your job, do what you...
Read moreI made an online order. I've never done an online order with them, but I assumed it was like other places--you go in, go to the counter, and tell a staff member. Apparently, it was not like that. I was looked at like an idiot by all the staff members, who literally never once offered to help me. It took fifteen minutes to even get them to talk to me.
When I returned to work with my order, I opened it up to find.. my sushi was packaged so haphazardly that it looked like my four year old crammed it into the box. It fell apart, and couldn't even be eaten whole, which is.. kind of the point of sushi. So not only did they not care about me as a customer, that don't care enough about their jobs (which, I get it. I've worked food service. It's not glorious, but come on) to take the extra three seconds to make sure everything was packaged correctly.
On top of that, the fish in my sushi ended up being bad, and my stomach has been in unending pain since I ate lunch.
I love Tokyo Joe's, and I won't stop going--but this branch is honestly a disservice to the brand. It's disappointing to see such low quality...
Read moreI tried ordering online for pick up but for some reason it wouldn't let me order the byo bento box(and yes it was on a Sunday, cuz they only do those on weekends) and it's the first time it happened to us. So I called, they said their available, we drive over to do the order there, when we're inside I don't see the bento box option on the menu, once I ask they take it out from under the counter( which weird why are they hiding it). I order the shrimp bento with potstickers and other sides and two other plates. We waited a few minutes, we got our food and left (might be a little my fault here for not checking before we left but I'd never had issues with them). Once home I open my bag and they gave me salmon instead of shrimp, very sad cuz that salmon was so dry and i almost chocked on 2 little bones, the potstickers were good but in pancake form which whatever at this point, so overall should give it a one start but it's my first bad experience with them, so hopefully it's...
