Added after Owner Response: I appreciate your candid reply. Itâs clear you have a very different recollection of the events and being a professional person, would never be dropping âFâ bombs. My group was also equally disturbed by the service we received. This isnât up for debate but merely a candid and honest review. Best of luck to you.
Terrible experience, twice. The first time we visited, we were greeted by a very salty dark haired gal with a terrible attitude and told we needed a reservation (in a very special way, no need to expand here use your imagination) and followed it up with an eye roll and more tude. We chalked that up as a bad day for this poor girl and decided to give it another shot.
We made a reservation and upon arrival, was told to wait outside. No problem, we understood the COVID restrictions. Lucky us, the same snotty miserable lady was working again (this was yesterday Friday 11/13 at 7:30p). She came outside and in a very miserable tone told us we were just going to have to wait and they were at capacity all with another head swerve, but this was no in loving color episode đ This is how she treated customers with a reservation and another horrible impression. After a few exchanges and more attitude, we told her we werenât interested any longer considering how she treated to and spoke to us.
If this were my establishment, I would immediately get rid of this lady as this seems like a very polished upscale and fun little option in the neighborhood and she is certainly nothing helping your business or reputation. I have heard from others in the neighborhood this is the flavor of this woman and the business suffers because of her, so it sounds like if they donât get rid of her they will single handed my fail and I would hate to see that happen to what could be a gem in...
Read moreWe met friends here for happy hour and were very disappointed. This experience was actually pretty bizarre. Our friends arrived 10 minutes before us and were sat, but had not been given water or had a chance to order. 10+ minutes after we arrived (our friends have now been waiting for 20 minutes) the server (owner? lady with brown hair) finally greeted us and took our order. She went back behind the bar and was chatting for another 10+ minutes and out of frustration my friend went up to the bar and asked for water and it wasn't received well. She then brought the water but not the wine. It was 35+ minutes that we were seated before getting our drinks. This all took so long that she forgot what one of us ordered (a happy hour wine she recommended) and then she tried to charge our friend $19 for the glass and argued that it wasn't on happy hour.
Pros: wine was good, atmosphere was great.
Cons: service was terrible
We all have service industry experience and were shocked that the owner gave us such terrible service. Would highly recommend that you chat less and serve your...
Read moreMy husband and I came here on a Friday night. It is a small intimate place and so I highly recommend a reservation, you most likely won't get seated without one. The wine selection is good and we had a delicious charcuterie board as well.
The service was a little off. There were 3 people working for about 15 people and some people definitely got attentive service while we did not. We were seated for quite some time before we ordered and then had empty glasses for a long time before anyone checked in on us. One individual did seem very knowledgeable about wine and she went over our flights with us but was very rushed. We got a different server after that who also seemed disinterested. I think a lot of regulars and friendly faces come in and as we weren't recognized we didn't get the same attention as those individuals never had empty glasses.
Very cozy, intimate place with a nice selection, but don't come here if you want to chat with them about wine or ask for recommendations or if you expect...
