As someone with over eight years of experience in the service industry, I tend to be patient and understanding when it comes to less-than-perfect service. However, my experience at this establishment yesterday was so disappointing that I felt compelled to write this review.
I understand that when a restaurant is overwhelmed due to high volume or staffing shortages, things can slip through the cracks. But that wasn’t the case here. The restaurant was less than half full, yet service was abysmal. Staff members were wandering aimlessly, gossiping at the server station, and generally acting as if they had nothing to do—while multiple tables, including ours, were left completely unattended.
After sitting for ten minutes with no acknowledgment (despite staff walking past us repeatedly without so much as a glance), we were finally greeted and placed a drink order—a chai and a mimosa—which took another ten minutes to arrive. We ordered food shortly after, and then our server vanished. For the next 30-40 minutes, we didn’t see her once. She served tables right next to us while actively avoiding eye contact, even as our drinks sat empty for at least ten minutes. Multiple attempts to flag her down were ignored.
Eventually, we had to go inside the restaurant (we were seated on the patio) just to find someone to refill our drinks. When we did, we were told they’d send our server over—only for a completely different staff member to show up instead. This person sporadically took care of us for the rest of our visit, while our original server finally appeared at the very end of our meal to check on us—long after we had finished eating. By then, we were beyond frustrated and just asked for the check.
And it wasn’t just our table. The table next to us had to flag down their server over three times just to get basic service. Another table even joked, “Let’s see if they actually come back at some point.”
It truly felt like the staff was going out of their way to ignore customers. As I mentioned earlier, it didn’t help that when I went inside to find someone, I saw three employees standing at the server station, gossiping instead of taking care of guests.
To make matters worse, the food was bland and low-quality. I ordered a scramble and could barely eat it—only the side potatoes were passable. The drinks were decent, but that was the only redeeming factor.
I overheard staff complaining about being slammed earlier in the morning, but with six or more people on staff, a half-empty restaurant, and what seemed to be a dedicated busser, there’s simply no excuse for this level of neglect. Dirty tables sat untouched on the patio throughout the entirety of our stay, service was nonexistent, and the entire operation just seemed disorganized and uninterested in its customers.
I wanted to like this place after reading positive reviews, but...
Read moreOof, where to start. So my friend and I came in with our three toddlers. Yes, I know. We are very mindful of the chaos that comes with eating out with toddlers. As we walked in, I heard a server mutter something under her breath about the fact that we had all these kids, but I didn't mind it. Lo and behold, of course that was our server. Anywho, my friend and I order the kids' food first so that the food would come out quickly and therefore prevent a meltdown. Their food arrived quickly enough, and the kids were happily eating. Our food, however, didn't arrive.... and still didn't arrive. We asked for our food to just be put in to-go boxes whenever it was ready. The kids eventually finished eating, and we knew our time was limited. We tried to call the server over to tell her to just cancel our food and to ask for the check. She didn't even come over to give me the time of day, she just yelled from across the way "Yeah, I told them (the kitchen) already". I was taken aback. Then a few minutes later, she says "they're making the food now". And again didn't give us a breath to even say "we'd just like the check". We had to ask another employee for our check. The kids are 0.05 seconds to a full meltdown at this point. And we are trying to convey to people that we are trying to rush out of this place for the benefit of the rest of the restaurant because we know how disruptive toddler tantrums can be. We did our best to try and cause as little disruption as possible, but the server was anything but helpful, and certainly not accommodating. Finally our food and our checks arrived. It was an awful experience. I won't be back. And to everyone reading- most parents know that we're being judged the minute we walk into a restaurant, we know. But we really are doing our very best and just want to enjoy time together. So please just be patient with us when you see us struggling out there...
Read moreSave yourself the hassle!! The food is terrible and so is the service. The good. The outside patio on a nice day. The bad. Where to start. Standing in a random line with no host or hostess, then some young kid comes up and ask “how many & where I’d like to sit” , I reply outside he says hold on I have to go outside to see if there are any tables. Found this odd that they don’t have sections and a host stand knowing this info but oh well no biggie, just a bit unorganized with everyone crowded at the front door wondering who to host is. We order breakfast and about 20 minutes later our waitress comes up asking us what we ordered , she literally wrote it down , I asked her has she not put our order in and she said yes, just double checking she got the order right and she tried repeating it and the order was completely wrong, she never put the order in, over an hour for our food to come out. The coffee is definitely the worst coffee I ever tasted anywhere I ever been. I drink coffee black or with cream, nothing fancy but there coffee taste like old dirt that was microwaved then if you ask for a refill the response is, they only have 1 coffee pot and they’ll have to track it down. The food, terrible, the home fries were just over boiled potatoes , they charged an extra $6 for 3 pieces of link sausage for their 2 egg breakfast because that doesn’t come with protein. All 2 egg breakfast comes with protein!! $17 for a two egg breakfast with protein!! They definitely use medium size eggs. Portions are small. French toast was just bread , nothing battered in egg, no flavor.
This place is unorganized and has...
