Il Torrente's Pizza — Restaurant in Denville

If you were able to see my girth you would know I’ve eaten a lot of pizza. I have tried virtually every pizza restaurant in a 5 mile radius of my home in Dover. This is without a doubt the best pizza in the area. The crust is flavorful and has a bit of a chew to it. The cheese does it’s part without being overly gloppy. Then there is the tomato sauce. This is a real tomato sauce, not a wimpy watered down tomato soup that some put on their crust. The real test for me (cover your ears, girls!) is how it tastes when cold. It is still a remarkable pizza even straight from the ice chest at 1 am. (No leftover’s in my household!)

This pie even passes the “wife” test!

I’m dying to try their pasta dishes.

Eat in or take out. This is the real deal! FYI-I drive past about a dozen other pie slingers to get here.

2019: Meh. I've experienced better. Too many other nicer places in town. Ordered a ham, salami and provolone sandwich. Pretty thin sub for $12.00, mostly stuffed with lettuce. Then, there's no online ordering and no substitutions... what's the deal with that? Online ordering is the future. Get with the times, man. I can't order online?? I'm forced to call to speak to a dude who doesn't listen or understand ENGLISH? I had to repeat myself: light mayo. "What, huh?" I said light mayo please, and huh? That's annoying. Get someone on the phone who understands English. The sub was subpar, thin, with only a couple of layers of ham, salami, and cheese... see...

I go to this pizzeria all the time but today when I picked up my pizza I got home and my order was more than it was supposed to be i got over charged 10.00 I called and spoke to the manager who had a very unprofessional attitude and said we don't sell half pies and that wasn't explained to me when I was on the phone ordering. I got over charged 10.00 he said I'll give you a 10.00 credit and he said to take a picture of it in the garbage to show we didn't eat it. But that's completely fine because his attitude cost him alot of business if he knew who he was talking to he wouldn't have said that because most of his business comes from me.and you just lost my business...
