Hibachi — Restaurant in Deptford Township

My wife and I recently had dinner here on a Saturday evening. We called about an hour ahead and were given a reservation, which was honored immediately when we arrived at the specified time. The service was very friendly and attentive, which earned them a nice tip. The chef was ok. The food was prepared well, but he provided the bare minimum in entertainment value. The food was acceptable, although I've definitely had better at the same price point. My biggest complaint is that they served everything on disposable plates and bowls. I felt a little cheated eating an entre that costs $30 on a paper plate with plastic utensils. Maybe they think this is necessary due to covid-19? I wouldn't think so as other restaurants aren't doing it. They also have a very limited selection of beverages. Coke products and teas were all they had. Overall, not really a bad experience. We may try again another time, but I will also be looking around for...

Wait staff was really attentive, prices were reasonable for the quality of the food given, tea was very hot but that's not exactly a problem to take a star away for.

I ended up ordering Japanese food because I love teriyaki and a bit of sushi. Good lunch discounts for the lunch boxes. When I first came out to this area almost two decades ago the place was already pretty good, but now their food is at the level I would expect from when I was living in Seattle.

The hibachi side of things is also good and wasn't lacking in flavor complexity.

Took my 5-year-old daughter for her first hibachi lunch. The chef made her feel very special. She really enjoyed the show, especially the volcano. I had the filet mignon and chicken and was barely able to eat everything. My daughter enjoyed the steak, and my wife had scallops and said that they were really well prepared.
