I was in the area and saw Viet Pho. As I was just in Vietnam not too long ago I was definitely feeling some pho esp since it was a chilly day. I looked at the reviews and it almost deterred me from going. I don’t like to go on other peoples word strictly so I went with those things in mind. First, the menu on the doors pricing is different than the menu pricing (online pricing is the same as the menu however) so maybe they should fix that. As for the food, I ordered the veggie dumplings the picture showed them being green and those are my favorite. They did not come out that way they were the typical white a little disappointing but not the end of the world. They came out suspiciously fast and were almost cold however the flavor was decent. Next, I got the spicy raw beef pho. The style is more northern Vietnam pho where the broth is more sweet than salty/savory so keep that in mind for your preferences. The broth while tasty was not spicy at all and needed some doctoring. I added the basil, jalapeño (which also wasn’t spicy somehow lol)siracha and bean sprouts. The beef was very scarce and not at all raw as I ordered they were very small pieces and well done upon arrival. With all that being said it was pretty good anyway and at a nine dollar price tag its still a good value. Lastly, I got the iced coffee which is usually my favorite thing ever sadly it was not good the flavor was off. It was still drinkable but I’ve definitely had better. The service was friendly enough but I can tell they don’t do well with volume. Overall, good value for money and I would go again if convenient but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go as they’re are other phenomenal Vietnamese restaurants...
Read moreThis is my first and only time placing an order. I'm not kidding when I say that this is the only worst Vietnamese restaurant I've ever gone to. I've visited a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in Canada and America, and the best thing about them is that their menus are typically the same. As a result, I order the same dish at every Vietnamese restaurant, and 99 percent of the time.
I didn't want to complain about little things, so I accepted Pepsi instead. #1 The level of service was average. I was trying to be polite when the cashier interrupted me while I was speaking and had air pods in. I had called for canned Coke, but they gave me fountain Pepsi instead, so I took it since it was a holiday and I didn't really want to gripe about little things.
#2 I had to make a $15 purchase in order to utilize a card, so I bought the rice and pork chop dish along with a side plate of chicken and an egg. My goodness, it was awful. This dish was only nice because of the rice. The porkchop was dry and bland, and they served me a side of the thinnest sliced chicken, which was dry and slightly burnt (I can't get the flavour out of my tongue; it tastes like I smoked a cigarette). How do you ruin a fried egg, and the sweet sauce hardly made a difference? Why does it have this horrible flavour?
Lord have mercy, you guys need to work on your existing menu or at least change your chef. The cashier also informed me that they didn't have a takeout menu since they were working...

We dined at this restaurant last night. I saw the online rating was somewhat questionable but still would like to give them a try. I hate to say but this is a disappointment!!
Before commenting on their food, there are numerous issues that need to be addressed: 1) the temperature of the noodle soup was only lukewarm. This is one of the most fundamental elements when serving soup - it needs to be warm. Our soup seems to be sitting in the kitchen for a long time before serving. Not very appetizing. 2) the bean sprout and basil garnish look wilted and already lost its freshness. Again, seems to be sitting in the kitchen for an extended period of time. I will not be surprised if it had been previously served to another table because it doesn’t look fresh. 3) we ordered shrimp clay pot and the container is chipped.
For a restaurant that missed these many marks, I’m not surprised the quality of their food was sub-standard. I will not waste my time to go into the flavorless broth and their over-zealous seasoning in their shrimp dish.
If this is your first experience dining in a Vietnamese restaurant, please don’t think this is the standard food that is served in a reputable establishment. There are plenty of good Vietnamese restaurants but unfortunately, this is not...
