I'm a dasher and get gas at this Casey's very often as it's on the edge of derby, so it's easy to hit on my dashes. Well this morning, shortly before 10:30 am I had a very poor experience for the first time.
Typically this Casey's is great, but I'm usually here in the evenings, and the evening staff is MUCH BETTER than the morning staff.
When I came in there was no welcome or acknowledgment, when I did come up to the counter the lady did not say anything to me at all. She talked to the lady next to me, and explained things to her as she walked up but completely ignored me, even though I was first. Then she was talking very badly about a employee/coworker, complaining about them directly in front of me to a coworker while simultaneously ignoring me, and as someone that's been in management for 10 plus years this is something you should never do. Even if you have a conflict with a co-worker or employee, you never talk bad about them in front of customers so I thought that was just very distasteful and horrible.
At this point, she still had not acknowledged me so I finally just said can I please get $10 on pump three she still didn't say anything to me, but entered into the system, I entered my card and then my Casey's rewards number and she still didn't say anything, and it went through and I said thank you and walked out and she very snottedly said Thank You Back.
Her name tag read christina, she was probably about 50 to 60 years old with shoulder length blonde/grayish hair and she was nice to everybody else around her except for me for some reason, and I have no idea why I've never seen her before, but like I said beyond that she was talking very horribly about an employee right in front of everybody which you should never do, and just completely ignoring me while also helping other people like I was invisible.
The only thing I can think of is that I have bright pink colored hair and Tattoos so I did feel discriminated against. I will still come to this Casey's as it is on my route, but I will only do so on the...
Read moreIf I could give this place 100 stars I would! Amber, Christina, Emily, and Sandy- are some of the most phenomenal people I've ran into in my day. I've traveled across the USA, and the people who work there are so friendly. They smile and laugh with you. They make a conscious effort to make you feel at home. So full of energy and life. They are amazing people. Shelly, is the GM. She clearly has an eye for the right people. The facilities are always clean. They've done fundraising for MDA. I can't think of a convenient store I'd rather go to. And in my area, trust me, there are plenty of options. But at Casey's, with piping hot pizza always in the oven. The friendly conversations you have, it feels more like a home away from home. Where as other places are concerned with simply getting you in and out. You are...
Read moreI love Casey's, but this location is a disgrace to the brand. As of 6/19/21 they have NO operational gas pumps. REALLY!? You're a GAS STATION! So embarrassing. At least the staff here are kind and the pizza is still good. But seriously, spend some money on your building or sell it. 1 star.
Edit 6/30: Mgmt responded quickly to my review. Thank you. Also, the gas pumps were operational within a few days by my own oberservation. Thank you for handling it. There are still a couple of handles that don't work, but at least most of them do now. Keep getting better, it's what I'm used to from this franchise....
