Went to the Derby, VT DD for a treat today. Went thru the drive thru because I had clients with me that cannot be left in the car.
I placed an order for me and my grandson. SF Vanilla Cold Brew, small lemonade and a strawberry frosted donut. I asked specifically for a sugar free vanilla syrup. I never mentioned unsweetened. I asked for sugar free caramel or sugar free vanilla, she said they don’t have sugar free caramel but they have sugar free vanilla. Perfect.
I then told her I had two more orders that would be identical.
10 piece munchkin and a small lemonade. She said I already have a small lemonade on the first order. Yep, this is a second order please. Had to repeat it a couple times.
Ok, second order done.
Ok I need the same exact thing on a third order. This completely confused her.
I said I need a box of 10 munchkins and a small lemonade. She was soooooo confused. She said again I already did that order and I have two small lemonades. I replied I have four people in the car and I need an order of 10 munchkins and a small lemonade. She said this is so confusing.
I got to the window and a manager had to sort out the orders. She asked me next time to come in because three orders is confusing. I have done it multiple times. At multiple fast food restaurants. I have worked at Starbucks, it’s not that difficult. You just have to punch it into the computer. I would have had to find a place to park my camper and then bring a 6 year old, 58 year old disabled client, and a 82 year old disabled client out in the hot heat and into DD. Which is why I used the drive thru.
So I finally get my orders and off I go only to discover my cold brew doesn’t have any sweetener. They put the vanilla flavor shots instead. At this point I am just mad. So I find a place to turn my camper around and back I go. I went inside and parked right next to the door. I told them it was wrong.
Three people ended up arguing with me and told me that unsweetened shots are what they use for sugar free sweetener. Then they changed their story and said there is no such thing as a sugar free sweetener. That when I asked for sugar free sweetener I was actually asking for an unsweetened drink. Um what?!
One girl snapped back we didn’t take your order, I stated I don’t care who did but that someone needed to own it and make it right.
I told them I had specifically asked for SF Vanilla or SF Caramel sweetener and she said they didn’t have SF caramel, but the vanilla was when I ordered. Perfect. If that is not correct then they need to train whoever is taking orders.
I asked if they had a sweetener for diabetics and they said no..
The level of stupid in that moment was high. I told them they could keep the drink because I wasn’t going to drink it.
The answer I got, oh thank you that is nice of you.
Seriously, the staff today lacked everything necessary to be...
Read moreTwo weeks ago I went to Dd with my son as he took me out. I ordered the 5 dollar meal. My wake up wraps had black spots on it. When I went back in I spoke with the manager I showed her my wraps and she replied oh it's only burnt crumbs from orders. So I asked what are you going to do about it she just looked at me. So I started explaining what I saw. I told her that I watched the woman cooking and preparing orders how she used the same brown paper for all the orders. The counter is filled with burnt junk. And also I watched the same worker take tater tots from the warmer and place some in a paper serving envelope put them in the order bag. Put the tater tots on the tray on the counter where they sat for a few minutes along with my wraps without anything under them on the dirty counter. She picked up the tray dumped what was on there back in the machine that heats them. Finished my wraps put them in their serving envelopes. Then took out reheated tater tots and put them in their serving envelope put them in a bag and gave them to a drive through order. Finished my son's order. Then She asked would you like a new one. I said yes she told the worker make sure you change the paper. I still endered with burnt crumbs on my food as they didn't clean the counter is won't order cooked...
Read moreI am what you would consider a "frequent flier" of this Dunkin location! Practically since the store opened, I have always been greeted with a smile, and most of their incredible employees know me by name and can place my order without my even telling them what I'd like. My experience the last 2 mornings, however have been extremely different. I am still greeted by the 2 amazing employees, Rhonda and Sara but the, what must be new management is down right deplorable. During my breakfast yesterday I listened to this girl degrade, boss around and loudly Express each and every frustration she had with her morning. I have only seen this "woman" in the shop for the last month or so and boy you would be under the impression that she OWNED the entire franchise let alone the store. I would really like to see SOMETHING done for the poor girls that bust their booties every morning with a genuine SMILE on their face. If I were them, this new management would be sending me straight to finding another job where i was respected and appreciated. I will continue to go, as choices are limited around here, but I really hope something is...
