I ordered online and went in store to pick up. I asked my garlic cups to be exchanged for cheese cups. Usually, this has been no problem and a couple nights ago, I learned that there is now a cost associated with doing so. If there is a cost with doing so, then they need to make it better known. Also, my pizza wasn't made correctly. I can guarantee this Papa John's always makes my pizza correctly and I never have to check it before leaving the store but I will now. I went back to get it corrected (I got a Buffalo chicken pizza and it didn't have the buffalo drizzle on it). When I went back, only one person apologized for this issue (not the manager or the senior staff member) and this manager/senior staff member had to stop smoking her cigarette (which she was doing in front of the store when I arrived and only went around to the side of the store when I came closer to the door) to come "solve the problem" but all she did was dictate someone to do it before going back outside. No apology. They opened the pizza box right on the counter and proceeded to put the drizzle on right then and there. Not impressed by this. Fixing the pizza right there was very unprofessional. I was at least hoping for an apology from the manager but I guess I'm asking too much. I'm not too thrilled with this customer service I received. It'll probably be a few months before I go back (they're lucky they're the only Papa John's in Derby and I don't feel like traveling to get my pizza).
Oh, by the way, they are open but it's hard to judge that sometimes since they don't know how to use their open...
Read moreI'm really disappointed. I called last night to place an order at about 6:40. We waited a good 5 minutes on hold before they even took our order. Once they did take it, we patiently waited about an hour and twenty minutes for them to deliver it. At this point, we knew something was off. I gave the store a call. I spoke to the store manager, Josh about the situation. He was very rude and insinuated I was both stupid and incompetent. He didn't have any record of my order. I politely explained that we did place an order and that i was calling the number we originally called. Josh accused me of just wanting free food and told me I could place another order with him or I could call someone else. I got Josh's manager's name and hung up. About 2 minutes after I hung up, my boyfriend recieved a call from Josh apologizing (He didnt bother to call me even though he had my number). He said that he did find our order an employee just didnt put it in. He did offer to send us our dinner for free, but after he spoke to me in the manner he did, I declined and will never eat at Pappa John's again. This place is unprofessional and I dont think they know what customer service is. If you have all the time in the world, you can try to eat here. But I'd suggest you eat at Dominos or Pizza...
Read moreHaven’t had Papa John’s pizza in a couple of years. So, after a long shift at work I decided to get a pizza. Walk in and the lady walks up to the counter with an attitude. No customer service, just says “What do you want?” I ordered a large pizza and she rolls her eyes at me and starts cussing under her breath. I pay in cash and she starts slamming the cash register, throws my change on the counter, and walks off. I asked for a receipt and she rips it out of the printer, slams that down on the counter, and storms off saying it’ll be 20 minutes. I go to my car for a while, and come back after about 15 minutes. Once inside, I hear her cussing behind the counter about me being in the store (it was only us in the store.) She finished the pizza, literally threw it on the counter to where the box opened up and slid, and then went into the office without saying anything. I used to love Papa John’s pizza, but this experience just ruined all of it. Corporate needs to do a better job when picking people to operate a store, because this...
