I was enthused with this restaurant! Parking was fairly easy, with a parking garage out back behind the restaurant. The entrance to Devons is actually through the Houlihans entrance. The atmosphere inside was gorgeous, perfect for our celebration! The service was PHENOMENAL. We were waited on quickly, got our drinks, appetizer, and food in less than an hour of our reservation time. Our server was so nice and helpful for us first timers at the restaurant to delve into the menu. We shared the sangria, which was amazing, nice and icy cold on a hot day-not too sweet. They started us off with free biscuits, which were nice and buttery and a perfect start to the meal. We got the fried calamari as an appetizer, which came with two sauces. The calamari itself was encapsulated in such a flaky and light breading. The calamari was nice and tender, not tough like you find elsewhere. I got the swordfish, which tasted okay. It tasted like a steak, but I happened to be craving a fishy taste today which was slightly disappointing. However, if you're craving steak, this would be an excellent flaky choice. I did wish It would've come with some sort of sauce to lighten it up a bit. My fiance got the seafood mixed grill to get a sample of everything. This also came with two sauces. The salmon was similar to the swordfish and tasted like a steak. The crab cake was FILLED with crab, and flavored amazingly. The shrimp had a nice kick to it and was cooked perfectly. There were only two scallops, but they were perfectly cooked and had a beautiful seasoning. Next, sides. The lobster Mac and cheese wasn't as cheesy as I would've hoped but had a good amount of lobster. The carrots were phenomenal, a beautiful mix of heat and sweet. The lemon asparagus risotto was nice and creamy. The mashed potatoes were skin on, and was a great foundation for the dish. Overall, an excellent meal, but pretty expensive. We came here for a celebratory dinner and would probably keep it only to special occasions.

The biscuit man was my favorite. I had Oysters Rockefeller, mahi mahi, Brussels sprouts with prosciutto and wild mushroom risotto finishing with vanilla bean creme brulee. Service was good. Server was helpful but quite loud and lost her place while reviewing the specials and said half of it twice. She made a big deal about it when my dining partner pushed the check book out of his way. She came right over to take the book and found his card not in it yet and told him that customarily patrons put the book down when they were ready to pay. Whenever I dine out, I stand the check book up with my card in it when I'm ready to pay. I didn't think there was a rule but she seemed to stay on it until he finally said ok and put the book back where she'd left it. I think she wanted to go home and that was her way of rushing us. Once the check was paid, we sat for a while and talked after dessert and our drinks were empty but since our server was gone no one checked to see if we would like a refill. They were just soft drinks. We did end up staying anyway quite a while after the posted closing time and no one made us feel rushed like we had to hurry out. I would eat there again but maybe with another server. Update: This has become one of the best places to eat on my personal list. I've been here several times since that first review and the food is perfect. The creme brulee has the right amount of caramelized sugar on top so it's not impossible to break through but it's not soggy. The filet was done perfectly, the sparkling blackberry martini was splendid, and I have zero complaints about this place.

I had reviewed Devon's with 5 stars, however, I just had to change my review to 3. Prior to the pandemic, I used to frequent this establishment a number of times a year. If I lived closer, it would have been much more often. (Nearly 40 min each way) Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience last night, (a Monday night, for reference). I took my friend out for his 40th birthday dinner. We didn't make reservations, however didn't think we needed them on a Monday... We were seated right away, no issue. I took note to the time, because we just missed happy hour. It was 16 minutes later until a server said hello. And an additional 17 minutes before we received our drinks. And that was after flagging someone down to ask about them. Keep in mind, the restaurant wasn't packed, and we took note to at least one other table that was sat after us, that already received drinks. Annoying, yes, but we were enjoying our conversation, so no big deal. We also ordered some oysters as an app, (they were delicious, BTW). However, after only having the opportunity to eat 1, our entries arrived. They offered to take our plates back to the kitchen to keep them warm, and we reluctantly agreed, since no one enjoys cold food, especially when it's supposed to be hot seafood. By the time it was brought back to us, it was crusted over from the heat lamps. :( The dinner was still okay, but not what.ive come to expect from Devon's. I dont believe this is the 'norm' and I'll likely give them another shot in the future, but this experience overall was just disappointing.

I had booked us dinner here, never having even heard of it (from way out of town.) A friend of mine raved about the high class atmosphere, quality food, and impeccable service. I wonder where she was talking about. The high top tables on the bar side of the dining room partition are squeezed so close together, they're about 1 foot apart. It was so loud we could barely hear our server, let alone husband & I have conversations with each other. I was seated at a booth that stared directly into the men's restroom. I knew by the end of dinner that something was out of order, bc I could read the sign on the stall door - INSIDE the bathroom. The cocktails didn't have enough sweet or tart to balance the liquor, they were quite strong & unbalanced. The food was decent! The steaks were actually the best part - his ribeye was phenomenal. My scallops were barely browned, green beans hospital quality, mushrooms decent. Cheesecake was absolutely amazing. Would probably have just a steak, alone, next time. Our server was prompt, attentive, thorough, and super pleasant despite being crushed. We had a lull where we noted their absence, but my god there had to be 200 people at this restaurant - they probably got stuck boxing up a 10 top. The restaurant feels confused. It feels like a "high end" restaurant meets Buffalo Wild Wings.... A table of bros were amped up after their first cocktail. Come on, act like you've left the house before.

My fiancé made a reservation here so that we could have a bite to eat before we'd visited Hershey park. I must say I was a little surprised at the prices when we 1st sat down, but the food was out of this world. I'm sure our bill would have been more reasonable had we not both consumed a couple of alcoholic drinks each. Having said that, I would go back to this place in a heart beat. My fiancé started us off with Tuna tartare, which worried me a little bit as I'm not a fancy eater. However, my mother said never say you don't like something until you try it, so I tried it. And like Mikey, I liked it. If you're not old enough to know who Mikey is, that last line probably didn't make sense. In any case, my fiancé had the seafood special that evening and I had the Filet Mignon. We share bites, so it was like having a surf and turf dinner without the surf and turf price. My sides included Mushroom Risotto & creamed corn with bacon. I don't know how they get so much flavor in the sides but those were the best side dishes I've ever had. This experience has led me to the conclusion that paying a bit more for your meal can result in some very exquisite tastes. Not that the meal was very expensive, after comparing it to other nice restaurants, just a tadd more, but it was worth every penny. I would go back in a heartbeat. P S. There is a parking garage there as well, so don't worry about finding a spot in the open lot.

Came to celebrate a birthday. Food was good. They have complimentary biscuits with honey butter. Probably the best part to be honest. We ordered the cauliflower which was great. I had the salmon with green beans and the lobster Mac & cheese, and my friend had the seafood mix. I thought my entree was okay. Certainly not worth $40 but didn’t taste bad. We shared the peanut butter chocolate for dessert. I’m glad we decided to share because it was super rich. Service was okay. We didn’t finish the cauliflower by the time the entrees arrived, so the runner asked if we wanted it boxed up. We agreed, so she took it but never brought back the to-go container. We didn’t realize until the end of our meal, but luckily out waiter tracked it down. The waiter was a mix of very attentive and the complete opposite. He noticed that a wine glass on the table was dirty without either of us noticing and quickly replaced it before serving wine. We both asked for to-go containers for our meals, but he only brought one box for the biscuits (two left), and I had to ask for containers for the butter. Overall, I liked the experience here. We didn’t feel rushed, and the food was decent. I will have to give them another shot with the entrees.
