This hotel is outdated. The beds and pillows uncomfortable. The only positive they have going for them is their location- less than five minutes from Hersheypark- but they donāt provide a shuttle service. Our particular room was hot as a sauna when we walked in. We found the hot water leaking at the bathtub faucet. I figured we were only going to be there one night so we can just deal with it. At night I closed the bathroom door so we didnāt hear the leaking. That led to an early morning bathroom break to find everything completely saturated by the condensation- including damp towels. So I also left the light/fan on in the bathroom for the remainder of the morning. When showering, the height of the water was very low. I am 5ā6ā and it was only a couple inches above my head. The tub itself was cracked under the liner and I was afraid I would fall right through. The water got extremely hot suddenly in the middle of my shower, to the point it turned my skin pink even though I quickly changed it. Then a few minutes later the water turned ice cold and I had to fuss with it again. The towels had hair stuck in them. Additionally, we do not have animals yet found fur on our clothes and bags. We heard other dogs in neighboring rooms. So for us we had an inconvenience of pet fur, but Iād imagine if youāre allergic to pets it would be more of a problem. The breakfast was all full of carbs/sugar. I try to avoid a lot of sugar and stick more with protein. The only available āproteinā was milk for the sugary cereal and yogurt, but even that was full of way too much sugar for me. The fruit was bruised and not ripe. It was all very unpleasant. The hotel does have an indoor pool and hot tub. The hot tub water looked murky so we didnāt go in. The pool towels provided were the size of hand towels and very thin. My petite children required at least two to even try and dry off. All in all, if youāre traveling To Hersheypark and want a one night stay, this might suffice for you. I would look around to other hotels first though. There must be...
Ā Ā Ā Read morerecently stayed at days inn from january 17th till january 20th. this was mine and my boyfriends last trip before our daughter arrives so we planned this getaway. hotel staff from the minute we walked into the hotel was rude and unprofessional. we called the hotel ahead of time because it was supposed to be under my name and it was under my moms some how. so they said my moms name and i told them that it was wrong and she told me that the company never put it in and that she could give me the room. never once asked to check an id or anything to see if i had the same last name or anything like that. but then it was fine we got our room and went exploring and into the hot tub which was a total mess. itās like they never clean it. there was hair all in it and you could tell they barely clean it. the temperature was nice and it was fun to just spend time. then it turns into night and we go back to take showers and the water is ice cold. we went down and told the front desk and her exact words were āwell everyone has hot water so i donāt know why you guys think we wouldnāt give you hot water iāll send maintenance upā so maintenance came up and looked at in and in the process turned it to tub and it got stuck on tub and he made us seem like idiots for how we couldnāt figure out the water. then since we couldnāt switch it back to shower and it was cold again we called the front desk and he came back up was slamming everything around and kept the water running and told us āiāll leave that on for you guys do you donāt have to struggle againā. the water pressure was nice but the temperature went from boiling hot to cold within seconds. to add to all that there was a bunch of hair all over the shower. i would highly recommend not staying here if we had the money and the chance to switch hotels we would of 100%....
Ā Ā Ā Read morePros: The hotel was close to Hershey Park and Chocolate Museum. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. The front end staff and breakfast staff were helpful and friendly. The free breakfast was adequate and had a decent amount of options. We took advantage of the extra outdoor seating for a quieter atmosphere. Room was quiet (4th floor, mid week, low season) and beds were comfortable. ||||Cons: The water pressure was ridiculous. Took forever for our family of 4 to shower because we couldn't rinse our hair properly no matter what setting. The cleaning staff is either inept or don't care. The elevators had the same hand print and dirt marks on the doors the whole 5 days and the floor was never clean. Our room had crumbs on the floor around the bed area on arrival. I chalked it up to an oversight. They have a policy that they only change sheets and towels every 3 days unless you request otherwise. The sheets I can understand but the towels was not reasonable. 1st day they replaced our 4 towels with only 1 towel and we had to go to the desk at night to get more. 2nd day we left a note requesting them to replace the towels. They gave us 4 towels but left our used ones that were neatly piled for them. 3rd day, they did not change the sheets and crumbs and dirt were still on the floor. As we were leaving the next day, I chose not to bother complaining. Our final morning we were awoken by the alarm in the room at 5:47am that we did not set on a day I needed to drive 6 hours. Left us feeling that we couldn't trust the cleaning staff. ||||I wanted to give this hotel a higher recommendation because overall it was a nice stay and the front and breakfast staff were so nice and competent. But the lack of cleaning and poor water pressure were the deal breakers from us ever returning or...
