This ride was better than I expected. It’s a classic schwartzkoph. It’s a piece of history! It’s a great first looping coaster for the young’uns and it is fun even for the most seasoned coaster enthusiast. As an enthusiast myself, I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t really have that high of expectations and expected it to be just ok. It was actually really good! It was my sisters first looping coaster! The drop was better than I expected, and the loop was fairly forceful. It’s not as forceful as many other schwartzkoph coasters but it definitely packs a punch. Fun for the whole family! It interacts with the terrain nicely and even swoops past great bear a couple times. After the drop and loop, it meanders around a bit, but it’s always a fun ride. Night rides are great, because it zips past the trees and feels faster than it actually is. It does slow down here and there, but the pacing isn’t bad at all. It’s better than plenty of other coasters. Again, this is a great first inverting coaster, as it has been since it opened. Ride this piece of history now, at...
Read moreYou can never go wrong with an old school looping coaster like this one. SooperDooperLooper is the perfect starting out thrill ride, and is fun for thrill seekers too. Though old, Sooper is smooth as butter and very comfortable, only having lap bars as your restraint. It's in a scenic location near Spring Creek, goes through the trees, and passes by Coal Cracker and Great Bear.
The coaster itself is just thrilling enough. The first drop is sizeable and the loop is smooth and very forceful. The rest of the ride is mild, with smooth scenic turns and drops. You thread back through the loop like a needle, go through a tunnel, and take terrain conforming turns on the banks of the creek, which is where you may come face to face with riders of Great Bear. The ride ends with a forceful final helix to make sure you're satisfied.
This ride is gentle enough, but has enough thrilling and unique features to make it worth your ride, and riding a piece of history this well designed is...
Read moreMe and my sister love this coaster it’s a classic of Hershey park ! It’s not the most thrilling here but it’s definitely a smooth and fun coaster. The line for this can get ridiculously long for no reason some times. I have seen it like an hr plus. Like I know it’s a good ride but it’s not that great to wait an hr plus. It’s also a good kids coaster or like family coaster. Good for kids trying to get into the bigger rides and looping coasters because it only has one loop and doesn’t go that fast either so it shouldn’t scare the newborns too much. I saw a mom carry her newborn baby like 2 months old and had him ride it. He loved it ! Btw there is a lot of spider webs 🕸️ on the lift hill between the railings and stuff like so many webs 🕸️ 🕸️🕸️🕸️🕸️🕸️🕸️🕸️🕸️🕸️🕸️🕸️🕸️🕸️🕸️🕸️. I think the webs r the only thing holding the ride together, if the webs fall down then bye bye super...
