Cafe Baratta's — Restaurant in Des Moines

Located on top of the State Historical Museum a great view of Downtown is assured. We were at the museum with our 7 & 10 yr. old niece and nephew and needed lunch. Cafe Barratta turned out t be an excellent choice. Good food, relatively cheap, decent kids menu and the lunch special is a bargain. The service was very good. I do think they should rethink the pictures in the Cafe: there's a series of an old guy getting some sort of massage therapy that are not pleasant to look at over a meal. We will definitely eat here on future visits...

Outstanding food at reasonable prices, even more affordable during their blue plate specials in January. Great views of downtown Des Moines and the capitol.
