Molly's Cupcakes is one of my favorite sweet shops in the area, so I was excited to try their new ice cream joint. In addition to about a dozen ice cream flavors produced on site and many topping choices, you can create your own ice cream sandwich or cupcake mashup. My friend and I each tried a mashup, with mine consisting of cookies and creme and mint chocolate chip ice cream sandwiched between vanilla cupcakes and ganache. It was a great combination of tasty treats! The ice cream flavor options are more traditional than what you'll find at some competitors (Black Cat, for example), but everything sampled was delicious, and the cupcake and cookie additions are fun. Read moreCame in toward the end of the day and was immediately hit with the worst energy. The taller girl with curly hair just stared at us like we were a bother for even walking in. No greeting, no smile, just a cold, dead stare that made me and my family super uncomfortable.
I asked a few simple questions, and her responses were so dry and uninterested. We ended up walking out with nothing because the vibe was completely off. It’s disappointing because we’ve never had a bad experience at Molly’s Cupcakes. This location felt like a totally different standard.

Read moreWe decided, as we drove by, to stop in and see what this place was about. It was a really nice environment (kind of like Molly's Cupcakes). I tried the "Molly's Mashup", where the take a cupcake, split it in half, and put ice cream in between with a topping (I opted for red velvet cupcake with strawberry lemonade sorbet with whipped cream) and he tried a double scoop of mixed berry swirl ice cream.
