Where do I start? I booked through Travelocity and first time in my life decided to pay cash for the room upon arrival. Arrived a little later than check in on April 12th, 2019. Upon arrival, the front desk asked me for my payment immediately and $100 deposit. She handed me the keys and informed me every so often the key demagnetized. Sure enough she wasn’t lying... I went to the room 112 first floor, into an old smelly run down room. Wooden floors, with hair all over, stains on the covers, dust everywhere. Put my belongings aside and went to the restroom as I walked into the restroom a flipped over dead big cockroach. I still ignored it, told myself hey it’s the desert it’s possible. Looked around the room and opened the curtains and saw another door within the room with access to my room only from the other side with an empty jacuzzi that I can’t get to, but it’s in my room??!Went out into the city as it was Coachella weekend. Came back around midnight after driving around for Coachella and of course I went and purchased my own sheets to cover up the stains on the existing sheets. Laid down, attempted to turn on the TV that does not work, and here we go my body started to itch... I got up went to look for the front desk manager, as it does not exist. A security walked up to me and said is there anyone at the front desk, he replied “ yes me, I’m both security and front desk and night”. I mentioned to him that I think there is a bug problem he said he can’t do anything have to take it up with the front desk manager in the morning. Following day I had to run some errands and came back to the disgusting room. In meantime the maintenance man Michael got intoxicated and is running in the hallways completely naked who I believe is the owners relative. And notice fleas jumping on the bed, bed bugs, and cockroaches, I guess turning on the light surprised them. Again went into the restroom and notice a lot more of these little creatures everywhere. I went to complain again and contacted Travelocity as I wanted to leave and get a refund. The security guard whose name is David, great guy by the way, mentions I can’t do anything but give you another room the “owners” will only be able to give you a refund. I mentioned I want to leave and want my refund! In a way long story short I had to wait for the owners to arrive. I did not stay in the other room they gave me I ended up trying to sleep in my car. At 7 am I went to the front desk demanding to speak to the owners, since they are the only ones who are “able” to do a refund. Hours went by nothing, the girl at the front desk Angelica amazing worker, kept calling the owners who are upstairs in room 335 where they stay, kept ignoring the call. So she reached out to the general manager by phone whose name is Ella another amazing sweet hard worker. She said unfortunately the owners aren’t answering and they are the only ones with access to cash to refund you. At this point I was livid because the owners refused to come speak to me. So I took my next step and went to the police station. As soon as my arrival to the police station, I mentioned to the officer I was trying to call the dept phone was busy but I have and issue with my hotel, and there he stopped me, and mentioned let me guess and named my hotel. Than later I found out that this area that the hotel is located in, is a very bad area flooded with gangs, crack heads, and theft, and transients. As the officer arrived they came to a conclusion to refund my money. I wait and I’m still not getting a refund. Hours go by and finally the owners show their face Charles and Christina who stay occasionally like I said in room 335. Charles says what do you want? Aggressively and tells me you’re not getting a refund. And says what you’re scared of bugs. No apology and try’s to act like his piece of dump flimsy property which is falling apart is like a hotel in Monte Carlo. He wanted to see the bugs himself so we walked to the room, and sees it and starts to take pictures, and says what it’s okay it’s bugs it’s normal, your house has bugs. And tells me do whatever you report me or sue me I’m not scared, you’re not getting a refund, he said you should have left last night and now you need to leave my property. We end up back at the front desk and now his wife Christina who is “nicer” try’s talking to me and I could tell she’s a bit embarrassed and wants to give me the refund. As she is talking to me her husband Charles comes grabs her with force by the arm and pushes her into the office aggressively and yelling at her in Korean. This is where I got irritated and forgot about the refund and contacted the police department again and this time reported abuse.of course his wife didn’t press charges, but I did, unfortunately the wife told the police that look there is nothing on my arm it’s okay it’s our culture it’s normal. After 7 hours of dealing with this, and in mean while other guests are complaining about other things all demanding a refund... I ended up not getting my refund and the owner was hiding in his room. Don’t worry guys I will be reporting this facility to every single department. And do yourself a favor and don’t stay here, I promise you...

Read moreIf the dirty hotel room, lack of phone/cable tv/wifi in the rooms, and loud, drunken staff aren't enough to drive you away, the sexual harassment will. (And good luck getting your money refunded in less than a month, if you're even that lucky at all.)
I went to the front desk to check in while my boyfriend parked the car and gathered our bags. It sounded like a group of drunken frat boys was watching a sporting event in the room next to the check-in counter. The manager, Elsa, came around the corner and laughed as she excused her loud staff members. This wasn't an immediate issue, but Elsa obviously overlooked some of her staffs' ability to handle themselves while drinking on-site after hours.
As I'm checking in at the front desk - my boyfriend still outside with the car - a short, chunky, bald, tattooed man approaches the desk and starts joking around with the check-in clerk. He then turns to me and asks, "so what room are you staying in?" I was shocked that a complete stranger just asked me for my room location, but I still wasn't sure who this guy was - was he staff, or just some weird, drunk local who hangs at the bar? When I asked why my room number was any of this stranger's business, he says, "it would be to your benefit." My level of shock went through the roof. I then brought up that my boyfriend was with me, at which point the guy finally realized he was being totally inappropriate and tried to pass off his comments - "well, I work here, and I can help you if you need anything, like did you know we have an ice machine, etc etc." After the drunk tattooed bald guy walked away, the clerk at least acknowledged this appalling behavior and said "I'm really sorry, there's no excuse for that."
When my boyfriend and I got up to our room, I relayed my tale of disgust at the front desk. After discovering that the hotel's cable tv and wifi didn't work, and our trashy, ill-cleaned room didn't even have a phone, we decided enough was enough. After being in our room less than 1 hour, we went downstairs to find the clerk and ask for a refund before leaving. The front desk isn't 24 hours, and the security guard obviously couldn't help us, so I left my key on the desk and attempted to deal with everything in the morning.
Even after the hotel received my report of harassment by their drunken staff member, it took a MONTH of badgering them through filing complaints with my bank and HOURS spent on the phone with Priceline to get my full refund. They even tried to pull a fast one on me - after my first round of calls with Priceline, they emailed me with a refund for a measly 1 night's stay out of the 3 nights I had booked - and I hadn't even touched the room or used any of their services before I abandoned my room that night. It took weekly phone calls from Priceline to get these shady hotel owners to give me back my full refund.
This place does not care about you, your money, or how their staff sexually harasses their guests. If the other Yelp reviews aren't discouraging enough, hopefully this one will be the nail in the coffin on this...
