Well let me start off by saying I'm a local here in the valley, & DHS. I've decided to try the same simple dish from a few different Mexican restaurants. And give an overall experience on food, service, environment & cleanliness. When I visited this restaurant I ordered two shrimp ceviche tostadas. They were prepared similar to what I have tried before however the shrimp did seem a little under cooked(I know this is how some people make it, & a lot of people like it that way. But this type of texture is definitely not for my pallet.) Although the ceviche was prepared a little different then my liking I still enjoyed it very much. Then why the 2⭐'s you may be asking. Well the place was understaff and it was around lunch time, they had no water available to drink which meant we were forced to buy drinks(soda, juice) the server also forgot to mention that the water was off period, which meant no bathroom🤯. The environment was clean, very well lite and inviting. The server was also very nice and very attentive, but the mediocre tostadas did not allow me to see past the flaws. They do have a grade A in the window, dont know about you but I always look at a restaurant grade before eating there.

I’d say this is the best Mexican restaurant in the area. It has it all…good service, good food, nice atmosphere, clean restaurant. I ordered carne asada and I should have taken a picture of it but I was hungry and I totally forgot. Great beans, great skirt steak, good rice and guacamole. I had the corn tortillas and they were pretty good (hand made) Good portions and price is fair. I paid close to $20 for the carne asada plata. Ya’ll know the best restaurants are the little hole in the wall and this is it. If you’re looking for a fancy modern Mexican restaurant, this is not the place for you. But if you’re mainly looking for good food, this is the place to visit. Also, they actually play Mexican music, which is great…some Mexican restaurants in the area play rock or Reggaeton which I don’t understand why they do that…it totally ruins the whole experience

This is the original location of Las Palmas. They have another location in Yucca Valley. I like both locations. They have good food and great service. We stopped in this location to compare it to the YV location and it is essentially the same thing. Food is consistent between the two locations. It was nice and cool inside considering how hot it was outside. They'v got a great selection of food, and it was all fresh and delicious. Our waitress was extremely friendly and kept our drinks full without having to ask for refills. Their prices are good for what you get. Thanks to the staff for a nice experience in Desert Hot Springs. We will be back when we are in your area.

The WORST Mexican restaurant/food I have ever had. First of all they have horrible customer service!!!! As I was ordering. The cashier total ignored me. She was so rude. That she totally ignored me as I was attempting to order. She was fiddling around with the cash register. I was explaining to her that my friend has a bad leg and she can't stand very long. I must've asked her 4-to 5 times. Absolutely no reaction. So finally we just took a seat. The place was totally empty. Finally a guy came to bring my friend's food. He took my order than. When he brought my food it wasn't what I ordered. We had to ask for chips and salsa. They bring us our food and it was cold. I mean really Cold. The WORST Mexican food Ever!!!!!!!! The taste of the food was DISGUSTING!!!!. We didn't send our food back, because we were afraid of what they might do to it. We didn't ask for our money back, because I was disgusted with...
