I frequent this establishment about 3 days a week. But in fairness I've never been in one of their rooms so I gave it a 4. Since I moved to this town there haven't been very many places to go that caters to the whole family.
This place is our own version of a modern day cheers, the people know you when you walk in, and it carries a real low key vibe. We even have regulars from San Diego and San Bernardino.
The STAR of it all has left the building and things will never be the same. I find it extremely talented to be a host in this setting watching, interacting, keeping order, and entertaining all while seemedly every man and his brother does their best to swoon said individual. The liquid courage emboldens them to tempt their hand at fate.
There have been at least 4 different subsequent hosts and not a single one possesses the natural ability to command the audience as our recently departed hostess.
Since then they have made many egregious errors in staffing and continue to do so. One single host from open to close and rather than starting later they start sooner and have closed the lounge (bar) at times like 9:30 on a Friday or one arrives at 10 on a weekend and finds the doors are locked and lights are out.
As of late they've done better but last call at 1100 or 1200 for this type of venue is not healthy. It doesn't adversely affect me but when you want to karaoke this is the only place in town. I have a feeling I might change that.
So with all that unpacked they do much to support the community especially by often times employing those that "just need a chance, somebody to bet on me" and I am very much enamored with that fact.
The food is good, the setting is 70s/80s inspired and they have some long time employees which speaks to their credit.
I have a project that will be coming out very soon involving venues of this nature and most likely will be aligned with The Spa and i believe I will sponsor them for the event.
In review kind, low key, not the Ritz and not the hood, food is good Karaoke host is a walking encyclopedia of music and hours are hit and miss.
The LEGEND will never be replaced and is missed by all, they really need to consider letting bygones be bygones and bring her home before it's too late. And that is The...
Read moreBeware! False advertising. Their website says "The hotel centers on three swimming pools and five hot tubs, all filled with natural mineral water". The truth is the pools and hot tubs are loaded with chlorine esp on Thursdays when they pour out the chlorine. We came here for the health benefits of natural mineral water. When you dip your body in the pools and hot tubs, you can smell the very strong odor of chlorinated water, so strong that it sticks to your skin. It means that while you are in the pools or tubs, your pores open and absorb all this unhealthy chlorine. So unhealthy! Don't come on Tuesdays. It is the day they open to the public for $3 entrance. The pools are so crowded and very dirty (filthy is the better word), esp the children's pool and the Olympic size pool. So dirty that my granddaughter developed conjunctivitis (eye infection). They rented a room to us that should be deemed unrentable and hazardous to health. We suffered from headache and sore throat within 30 minutes of staying in the room, and overnight, our throat hurt so bad we could barely swallow, as if our throat is closing in on us. I went to the restaurant and told the server about our severe sore throat and asked her for lots of salt so my daughter and I can gargle with warm water and salt. The phone in the room does NOT even work. The second day, the AC and the bathroom light and vanity lights died. We were transferred to another room (where a dog had stayed the night before). The TV did not work. We still suffered from sore throat and headache after we checked-out we had to seek medical care. The manager "James" is not a good manager. He didn't care how much I tell him that the rooms they are renting out are hazardous to health. He didn't care if we had sore throat or headaches. Not even an apology. Beware of this place. Stay away from this place if you care about your health. Negative 5 star (-5...
Read moreI mean location is where it's been since the 50s..so.. irrelevant. Nadine, Yvonne, Van, Shiloh, and Jessica are all absolutely amazing humans who actually give a damn about their job!! They should all get huge raises!! Above and beyond what customer service is!!! Thank you!! Now the rooms.. rm #126..the bed is like laying on the sidewalk, The AC barely worked..I asked for assistance with it 2x.Amd the maintenance guy said "Well the room reads at 72°, so it must be you." Uh.. yeah it is..and it is hot as sitting on the surface of the sun!! One side is the outside exposed to the 113° all day.. The pillows are lumpy and old, the toilet barely flushed. Then there was someone dragging furniture next door all night.. I finally had to complain since I paid for a full week. I did get moved to a better room, where the AC works and the bed didn't feel like the highway. The alcohol at the bar is wayyyyy to expensive. But the food at the restaurant is amazing and I tried many many different items. Huge portions and delicious!! Had a very unsafe uncomfortable experience with a patron the 2md to last night.. he flipped out like a psychopath and I was told to go to my room. Then 10 minutes later the maintenance pool guy tells me to move my 4runner and trailer from the locked Gated area either way to the back or out front not protected... I moved it out front, and was up half the night checking it...so ce there was no security that night, the fileo t girl did t know how to access the security cameras..and there were multiple people in the parking lot that weren't even guest there at all. And there's one receptionist or what ever her title is that should not work with the public what so ever.. she's rude and condescending, and wouldn't make it a day in a real city working the front desk.. the...
