My favorite Mexican Restaurant in the desert! Located in Desert Hot Springs, next to Chevron. Published with a rave review in THE WALLSTREET JOURNAL JANUARY 2020!! Don is a kind, small business owner, who goes above and beyond to please his customers. He works in the kitchen and greets his customers 6 days a week! He serves authentic Mexican food. The Restaurant has a spanish style setting. Quick service, large portions and reasonable prices. He and his wife offer a variety of unique specialty dishes. We visited This place yesterday. We would say is One of the best spots I have tried in southern California. The Owners were so the friendly and sweetest people. when we got there we noticed they were just about to close, but they allowed us to stay and eat. They made us feel so welcomed and comfortable that we had a long conversation with them while we were eating. Anyway, The food is fresh cooked right on the spot, amazing! I’m a regular customer, usually come here 2-3 times a week since work is near. Although, I’ve notice the change of low food quality , prices extremely high and the owner (the male) being rude to customers including myself. Ever since they came back from Mexico vacation he’s been very unprofessional the way he talks. I noticed the change. Not sure if it’s because they are under stress because the restaurant is slow and no sales. But it’s coming to a point where this restaurant might end up running out of business.
