So my first visit to this establishment did not go well. I sat at the bar for 5 minutes totally neglected by both working bartenders until a waitress asked what I wanted to drink and eat. My drink order was placed immediately, but I waited 35 minutes for my food. Now, it was 8:15 pm on a Wednesday, relatively slow customer traffic. When food was placed in front of me at 8:50 pm, it wasn't even my food. It was for the man sitting next to me who's order was taken after mine. Upon asking where my food was, I was informed that the cook had no more tickets for meals. Apparently the waitress (a long-haired brunette 20 something) didn't even put in my order. I could have walked over to Jimmy John's next door, eaten, gassed up my vehicle and driven halfway to Fargo in the time that my order was taken, misplaced, and then told about it. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of one is that the "manager" on duty gave me my one drink on the house and offered to give me a free appetizer.
However, I'm currently sitting here with my wife upon wanting to give this place a second chance and it's been 40 minutes since we ordered, no food and our waitress hasn't been by since we ordered. If you want terrible service, look no further! If our food isn't here in 5 minutes, we...
Read moreStarted out looking for lunch at one of the touristy places on the lake but quickly determined that they were over-hyped and under-staffed. Ended up at Brygges and so glad we did. Not a great location up by the highway, but there was outdoor seating shielded from the road. They also had a woodburning fire going outside, which was weird on a summer day, but it did lend a smokehouse aroma. Despite anything else, including a server who was a little cold out of the gates, the food was absolutely impressive. We started with a poutine appetizer that could have served as our entire meal. Homemade gravy, insane amounts of cheese and probably a pound of pulled turkey had me torn between wanting to inhale it or just crawl up on the table and snuggle with it the rest of the afternoon. Talk about comfort food. I also had a spicy Philly sub on fresh bread, which I simply couldn’t finish and felt sad about the rest of the day. Oh, and if you go, and I’m obviously recommending you do, get the Brygges dipping sauce...
Read moreFirst off the menu is only online. The waitress was very rude and seemed upset that my phone couldn't scan the code reader to open up the menu and she had to find me a paper menu. And then she'd also insulted my fiance and said don't you have a phone? And then proceeded to have an attitude when he said no he doesn't have a phone. She was very unhelpful and proceeded to charge us for things that she didn't say cost extra such as side of ranch for a dollar. And Cherry Coke cost more than regular soda because they put grenadine in it. Also got a cheeseburger and fries for $11 and the burger patty was tiny and pathetic and barely covered half the bun. The area was small and cramped interior decor's very trashy. All of the staff seemed as though they were either drunk or on some sort of substance. They all seemed agitated as though they did not want to be there. I would highly recommend McDonald's over this terrible restaurant any day and I hate McDonald's. Also the burger was under cooked...
