Tai Ho — Restaurant in Detroit

If I could give this zero stars, I would. When we called to place our order the woman we spoke with was incredibly rude. I'm not just talking about the typical busy-Chinese-Restaurant short responses, she obviously felt that we were an inconvenience to her for calling. She did not give us an estimated wait time for our delivery, and now I suppose I know why. We had to wait OVER TWO HOURS for our food to be delivered! We called inquiring about our order after the first hour and were told "the driver just left." After another 40 minutes we called again, and again we were told "the driver just left." We called at the two-hour mark just before the driver finally made it into our driveway. The driver claimed that he only picked up our order from the restaurant 10 minutes prior, then looked at our receipt to see when our order was placed and was shocked at the two-hour wait as well. While the driver was present we spoke with someone over the phone named "Kevin" and requested some sort of compensation for this awful service, but all he offered was "okay, I give you three dollars off." In what world would that make everything okay? As you can expect, our food was freezing cold by the time it reached us. On top of that, it's just plain gross. The Styrofoam containers probably taste better than the food they held. There was NO sauce on half our food, and that's kind of the entire point of Almond Chicken and Sweet & Sour Chicken. Plus, the menu specifically states that the Sweet & Sour Chicken comes with green pepper and pineapple... Well, not this order! Speaking of the menu, the prices on their carry out menu do NOT match what they actually charged us. I took one bite of each item, hoping that SOMETHING we ordered would be edible... And got nothing but disappointment. We threw away the entire $30+ order of cold, stale food. I will be driving up there tomorrow to demand our money back. Seriously, there are way better Chinese places around with better food, better prices, and better service. We ordered from this place just to try something new since one of their menus ended up on our porch a few months ago, and we have learned our lesson the hard way. If you trust only one Google review in your life, let this one be it. Do yourself a favor and stay away...

Well, last time few times I've ordered, my food got here fast. The gravy has improved, the egg rolls as well. A very sweet woman answered my calls and took my orders. Well, Today, just because I couldn't understand her, the woman on the line got all rude and snotty with me. She just cost them a customer. She's lucky I didn't chew her out. I don't put up with that. Let's see how long they stays in business with that one answering the phone. I gave them a chance seeing as how I've ordered from there 9 times. Even after the very first time and the incredibly horrible wait. Not to mention the weird taste of the egg roll and gravy. *edit March 23, 2015 Waited an hour and 25 minutes for my food. Called, was told "on its way." She was very apologetic when she got here. Very kind. Food was good. Gravy for almond chicken is a little different then what I usually get, but good. Chicken fried rice was very good. Egg roll, not so great. Oil it was cooked in smelled and taste bad. Couldn't get past that to eat...

Ordered large order for delivery on the phone i clearly stated a part of this order to be a general tso combination with chicken fried rice. My order was delivered I payed and brought it in the house to make sure everything was there, my chicken fried rice was missing. I called to tell them I didnt recieved what I asked for they would hand the phone off over and over to different women and finally to a man. He then decides he wants to curse me out. Not once did I use profanity or anything while talking to anyone about my messed up order. He cursed at me repeatedly saying why f@$&ing call and order here if you dont like it atleast 5 times before he hung up on me. They are very rude I recieved very poor costumer service!! Never...
