The Submarine Crab — Restaurant in Diamond Bar

Honestly, in my humble opinion, better than Boiling Crab or Kickin' Crab. The torpedo sauce is not as salty as Boiling Crab's whole shebang, and it's very herbcaeous. There's some kind of herb they put in there that I can't identify. Marjoram? There's also onion and parsley in there. The seafood boil is also served in a Dutch oven, which I think makes for a good presentation.

Do yourself a favor and add clams to your seafood boil. Their clams are so fat and juicy. Literally a clam-lover's dream. The shrimp and clams were cooked to perfection. Seafood is not good when it's overcooked, and the people who run this place seem to know that. They also have a lot interesting menu items like coconut snail.

Drinks are also cheap and good. Cocktails are in the $12-16 range, which is cheap in this economy. Beers are $6.

The only complaint I have is that they RAN OUT OF OYSTERS when I was there. Other than that, I would honestly prefer this over...

Had the most amazing dinner last night at the Submarine Crab right here in Diamond Bar! Think East Coast seafood bake like they have in Maryland and all along the eastern seaboard. Super fresh! It was sooo good! And reasonable! Inside was festive and large but we chose al fresco style on the cute patio. We shared a huge pot of 3 pounds of mainly large shrimp and a few potatoes, sausage, and corn dipped in a delicious cajon type sauce, (medium wasn’t spicy just super delicious, but they have garlic butter type sauces too)! Also had the most delicious Bloody Mary type drink I have EVER had in my whole life! My husband had the Passion Fruit Mojito which was particularly excellent too! Food was ok at best. I ordered the combo 3 that came with 1.5 lbs of snow crab, 4 sausages , clams, crayfish, potatoes and corn. Took them forever to bring my dish and when it came it was warm not hot they forgot the main thing the SNOWCRAB! When i told them they forgot the crab they took the whole dish back came back 15 minutes later with the crab then I noticed they forgot the sausage I told the waitress she came back with 1/2 a sausage cut into 4 little pieces AND IT WAS COLD! To top it off after everything the cook was behind the counter giving me dirty looks. The waitress was nice and all and very apologetic about the food but I'm never going back there again unless the cook wants to fight then I'll go back amd kick his ass he probably spit in my food for all I know that costed me...
