Pulled up to to order and the girl said one second so six minutes go by and my fiancee says hello are y'all open and she comes back on and says I said just a minute with a attitude so probably waited like another two or three minutes and she still had a additude. But finally placed our order and no one ever came to the window and we waited there probably like five minutes. The girl was cleaning the dinning room so got tired of waiting and decided to go dine in and the girl finally walked back behind the counter and tells the cook they left and and my fiancee says no we came in. She looked so surprised. I think she wanted us to drive off because she was already cleaning but it was only 8:30 when we went though the drive tho. Anyway we wait like another three- five minutes and finally get our food sat down to eat and the fish was pink in the middle. He took the food back up there and she argued with him saying it's supposed to look like that. He said no it's not I'm a chief. So I ask the cook to come look and he said yeah it's not done he saw the pink. He was nice but she was down right nasty. So my fiancee ask for a refund and all she did was give us a receipt that says voided so I don't even know if we got our money back. I even asked can I get your name and she just gave me a nasty look and wouldn't answer me.But I looked on the receipt after we left and it said Ashley. This just happened tonight 01/01/2025 She don't need to be working in customer service. Worse service I've ever had. I've been going here since I was a kid. Almost 47 years. Won't be back if she's still there. If you don't like your job find another you don't have to be so nasty and smart with the customers. They have to be desperate to hire a worker like that. She runs business away and tries to get them to drive off because she don't want to do her job. Will probably be back tomorrow to talk with her GM. I never complain but worse experience ever. Sad because I love Captain D's one of my favorite restaurants. This was at the...
Read moreOrdered Flounder, Shrimp, and Fries $5.99 special at drive thru, after being told to wait – ended up about 2 minutes. Only about 3 cars in parking lot and one car ahead of me. Got to the window about 5 minutes after ordering. Was told total was $8.99, not like on the signs. The employee slammed the drive thru window and came back about 3 minutes later with my correct total. She snatched my credit card out of my hand aggressively. Then had to wait about 5 more minutes. Repeated my request for ketchup and malt vinegar. In a huff, she added to the bag. My corrected receipt was time stamped at 14:12 with Amber on the name. Checked my order and only received fish sandwich and fries. I entered the store and said I received the wrong order. Same lady argued about the price again, even though signs posted, and receipt read Flounder, Shrimp, and Fries. She then said, “I’m going to jail today”. I assumed meaning her and having a bad day. I said I hope that’s not because of me. She then yelled at Amber the cook, so I doubt the lady I was dealing with was named Amber. She told Amber that if it were her, she would’ve just taken the fish sandwiches and fries, then make the shrimp. As her rants continued, I asked if a manger could help, twice. No response. As she also attended to a child behind the counter and having her coat on the serving counter, another employee in the dining room approached and attend to the child behind the counter. Finally, after being there about 20 some minutes, I received my food. She also kept my reciept. I again asked for the ketchup and malt vinegar. Again, in a huff, she stuffed it into the bag. On the way out she followed me. I held the door for her as I thought she was exiting too. She said no, I’m just locking the door. I never felt so mistreated at a restaurant before. You need to give this some attention. White hair, about 50 or 60. No respect, no customer service, degrading, and just an...
Read moreWe have eaten here once before and it was a pretty good meal. However, today was a completely different experience.
We finished our errands a little early so we went and parked beside the building where we could see the door and just waited about 10 minutes. We saw workers inside at one of the tables. Another car pulled in right at 10:30 (opening time) and he parked right in front of the building. The man got out and tried the door with no success. He seemed to exchange a few hand signals with whoever was inside. He walked away and got in his car. He was barely out of sight and I saw a woman unlock the door. We got out of the car and walked in. As we entered the other guy returned and walked in behind us. The woman at the counter yelled to the people in the back, "they are lined up at the door." I laughed because the line consisted of 2 customers. The woman said, "I am glad you are having fun with it. There are only 3 of us here." I started to order but she stopped me and said, "it will be about a 10 minute wait for the food to be ready." Thinking about the child in saw at a table eating on a plate full of freshly fried french fries, I said, "it would have helped if you had turned on the cooker when you got here." She crossed her arms and said, "I can refuse you service and that is what I am doing now." I laughed again and said, "alrighty then!" I turned and walked out.
We moved here about a year ago from a neighboring town. The Captain D's there was always open right at 10:30am and I do not ever remember seeing more than 2 employees there at opening time. The person that refused me service may not care but I am sure the owner of this store would rather we be served.
I think I can find another place to satisfy my...
