CVS — Local services in Dickson

The Dickson CVS pharmacy is not the place you want to go to pick up your medications. Wait time are always terrible even after your medications are ready; it does not matter if you go into the store or wait in the drive thru to pick them up. In my most recent experience, an antibiotic and steroid were ordered for my son and listed as "Out of stock", which I only found out from the CVS app. (FYI, every person does not have access to this!) It would have been nice to have been notified by an employee over the phone so that I could get his medications sooner. They were unwilling to look up to see if the medications were in stock at another CVS location because they were "too busy to check right now". When I contacted an outside pharmacy (after already trying to transfer the prescriptions to here via the CVS app), I was told that CVS was refusing to give the prescription information to the outside pharmacist even though he explained that their store never receives faxes from them. The outside pharmacist had to speak with the CVS pharmacy manager to get the information to fill my child's prescriptions. I have also struggled to get my dog's very time-sensitive seizure rescue medications from this store as well, and they were unwilling to allow me to utilize GoodRx for these medications. They said it was not possible due to veterinarians not having NPI numbers, but GoodRx provides explicit information on their site for pharmacies to know how to run pet prescriptions in their system. They still refused to do it, so I paid over $100 for a three day supply of emergency medication for my pet. This is the worse pharmacy in Dickson County. Never a pleasant experience there. I’ve been trying to get a prescription refilled for two days. Their automated system sent a link. I entered the info requested, waited for a text to let me know it was ready. Never got the text. Went back in to check the status, said to call the pharmacy. Called and left my information on the automated line again around 10-10:30AM. Never got a text or call to let me know it was ready. Go to the drive through to check on it. The guy at the window said it wasn’t ready. 8 hours and it’s still not ready. Had to wait 10 minutes. I give him my new insurance card. He said he couldn’t enter it until they filled it. Wait 10 minutes, go inside, the lady at the counter rang it up at full cost so I told her, I have new insurance. She proceeded to tell me they needed the card before they filled it. Told her I gave it to the guy in the window he said he couldn’t do it until they filled it. She took off with my card and did what she did and then informed me they don’t have a contract with my insurance company. 8 hours they had to contact me. We could have straightened this out early enough I could have had the prescription changed to another pharmacy. Instead, she tried to charge me the full cost. Then got an attitude when I called her out on it. I will not step foot in that place ever again. Always...

I would give a better rating for today when I returned. But as for yesterday September 17th the woman working the counter, blonde hair and glasses.. yes I am a biker and yes I have different color hair. But what you Don't know is I Run My OWN business and work with people who could own your company. But the Attitude and the Rude Demeanor you treated me with was uncalled for. Now you Not only told me you were so backed up that you weren't taking anymore scripts and didn't have my meds. Then standing in an aisle getting other things I hear a woman drop off and you tell her 20 minutes. And the Blonde pharmacist you were speaking too. Don't judge a book by its cover. And when I called and came back the very next day to find out you did have them. And the look on your face was PRICELESS. But thats fine the other young lady and Pharmacist were nothing but Polite and Very nice. So next time dont look down on people especially when I probably make more than you, but I would never be the way you treated...
