O'Charley's Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Dickson

11/02/24 Arrived at 4:10 pm at the Dickson resteraunt. Was seated at 4:15. Waited 16 minutes for a server. Ordered water with lemon and 2 bloody Mary's. Also ordered top shelf appetizer. And 2- Louisiana steaks with loaded baked potato, and salad. 15 minutes later we got our drinks. No water so,we ask again. 23 minutes went by. 4:53 now. At 5:01 we got rolls and our salads. No appetizer. We told Kylee our server just to cancel the appetizer since we were served our salad. 14 minutes later she brought the appetizer to us. We explained we told her to forget it since we had salads already. At 5:38 our steaks arrived. They were not properly cooked. I said hey Kylee pretty loud but she threw our plates down and ran away. Two tables that came in after us got there food. In fact, they were served and were paying by the time our food arrived that wasn't even cooked right. At this point we were just ready to get out of there. We boxed up both entire meals for my 3 dogs. Heather came by and said is everything alright. I replied you don't even want to know, she replied yes I do. So I told her. She preceeded to go get our check. When she came back the appetizer was still on the 98.and change check. We told her again we never got the appetizer. She proceeded to leave and take them off the check. In my opinion, if ever there was a time to comp a meal this would've been it. She brought back a 79$, And change check. I paid it, and left a 10$ tip just because I want to be a fair person. My neighbor was with me. I had been at Centennial hospital all day with my Mama whom was life flighted to Centennial. This was supposed to be relaxing, but turned into a nightmare. We left and went to Loredoes and recieved great service, and was treated with kindness. My neighbor & Friend said he felt like it was his Fault because of his skin color. Then I was just infuriated! They are the best neighbors and people I've ever known. I'm so sad this. Happened. I'm a pretty regular visitor, but this left a very bad taste in my mouth.Im not sure I can ever go back. We came in late on the fourth of July at about 9:30. We eat at the Dickson O'Charleys often and always have great service and great food and that's why we return again and again. This particular time was special, so I felt I had to share! So were at the door and a quarter to ten with 12 of my family members, needless to say bummed about the rain and our fireworks and bbq were cancelled! The hostess seemed very confused and frantic about what she was going to do with us, and then a little bitty waitress strolls through the door clearly about to be off and sees the hostess struggling. She asked her "Where are you taking them Ill help" The girl at the door was clearly at a loss! Honestly It made us feel bad about coming to eat. The waitresses name was Star. She took complete control! She told the girl Ill take them in the back and had us seated at a comfortable party table within seconds.. She was cut and came back onto the job too ensure that me and my family had a great experience. Alex remembered us from a previous visit and had rolls to the table instantly, he really made us feel welcome, but the real reason I am writing is to talk about Star, She went above and beyond for us! She had drinks, rolls, and our cheese wedges out so quickly! We made a joke with her and asked her if she wanted us to roll her silver and she laughed politely and told us not to feel that way and we were more than welcome there and she was glad we were there. She was super attentive and so friendly and welcoming! All and all it turned our holiday right around and we laughed and had a great dinner with Star and the fabulous team there all working together to make sure we were taken care of! Id also like to say that the food was presented and tasted amazing. The manager Tom stopped by and told us how much he was glad we were there! We continue to bring our business to this particular store because it holds a hire standard than most places around here! We were so impressed with our experience especially on a Holiday when probably no one wanted to be there.
