I usually don’t like to leave bad reviews.. But what they did on the day of Thanksgiving… I can’t close my eyes on! I did an order for a plate for thanksgiving for 6 persons- that included a turkey + 2 sides + postre. I ordered it online with the delivery by 3pm on Thursday (Thanksgiving day) -they send me the recipe I paid- and tbh I was very excited for everything I ordered and I couldn’t wait to try it out! This was my first time ordering from this place.. and definitely will be the last!
I send them a message in the morning to reconfirm the delivery and ask if they can let me know when the delivery is on the way! I talked with them around 11:30 am and they assured me they will lmk as soon as the delivery is on my way
. 3 pm comes- still no delivery! 3:30pm came- and I am trying to call them! I had to call them at least 5 times it was already 4:15 pm when they answered the phone- told me it was a problem with the delivery but they will do all the possible and deliver my orer themselves ( which I believe I talked with the manager/it was a woman) she told me to don’t worry she will solve my problem and lmk as soon as the order is on the way!
I was already 5pm! No message no order!
Keep it in mind it was thanksgiving day! My guests were supposed to arrive at 6pm!! I try calling them again! And after 3 more times of calling a man picks up the phone and I had to stay with them another 40 min! To find out..
“ they are actually having a problem with the oven and they don’t think they can cook my turkey?!” Excuse me?! The turkey that was supposed to be done by 3pm and delivered you “can t cook it?!” Do you know what I believe? That you gave my order to someone else!!
Anyway they were keep saying “ we can replace the protein with another thing.. but turkey is not possible and no worries you will get the delivery”
Thank you! I bet I will get the delivery but it s a difference between getting the delivery by the hour I ordered it and to get my turkey! That I trusted you to make and I paid for!!
The delivery was done at 5:45pm!!! No turkey! ( but I got a replacement a panceta or how is it called… ) They did put an extra( free) pan de jamaon ($28) for my inconvenience.. but tbh you really made me be very stressed and upset not having the turkey in my thanksgiving table!
Very poor customer service! I Will NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN! Came late- no turkey- and the food was cold!
“Thank you for letting me down on this...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at A Fuego Lento, a cozy spot nestled in the heart of Doral, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. This restaurant is a solid 10/10 in every sense—ambiance, food, and service were absolutely top-notch.
The decor is charming and intimate, striking a perfect balance between rustic and modern. The lighting is soft and inviting, which creates a relaxed and comfortable vibe, making it an excellent choice for everything from a casual lunch to a celebratory dinner.
The service was exceptional. From the moment we were greeted, it was clear that the staff at A Fuego Lento takes pride in delivering an outstanding dining experience. Melany, our server, was nothing short of phenomenal. She was attentive, friendly, and seemed genuinely passionate about ensuring we had the best time possible. Another staff member who initially welcomed us also left a fantastic first impression, setting the tone for the rest of the evening.
Now let’s talk about the food. To start, we ordered their Piña Coladas, which were simply divine. Perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and with a smooth, creamy texture, these drinks transported us straight to a tropical paradise. If you’re a fan of refreshing cocktails, these are an absolute must-try.
For appetizers, we chose the house specialty: pork skin and guacamole. Let me tell you, this dish is an explosion of flavors! The pork skin was perfectly crispy, providing a satisfying crunch that paired beautifully with the creamy, flavorful guacamole. Every bite was a testament to the care and skill that goes into their menu. I would highly recommend this dish to anyone visiting the restaurant—it’s a crowd-pleaser that you simply cannot miss.
Overall, A Fuego Lento delivers on every front. The combination of cozy ambiance, exceptional service, and mouthwatering food makes it a standout in Doral’s dining scene. Whether you’re a local looking for a new go-to spot or a visitor exploring the area, this restaurant is one you’ll want to experience for yourself.
I left A Fuego Lento not just satisfied but genuinely impressed. It’s rare to find a place that hits all the marks so effortlessly, but they’ve mastered the art of creating an extraordinary dining experience. Without a doubt, I’ll be back soon to explore more of their...
Read moreOut of the gate I was surprised and not in a good way. I called ahead of time that to make a reservation and was told I had to pay $20 per person to reserve. Huh? It was going to be 5 of us so that would have been $100 that would have been charged and the credited back when we arrived but we all know how banks work so I would have been out that money until sometime the week. Luckily there were plenty of tables available when we got there. It was a family dinner to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and had said this to our waiter when we arrived. The food was good, not great. The Chinese Ribs were actually better than the “picahna” that was closer to well done than medium well. We ordered a family dinner for 6 @ $187 and double downed on the rice because who likes coleslaw? The portions are insane so we brought home like 6 containers. The music was about club level so you can imagine how great it is to have a conversation. When we asked if it could be lowered we were told we got seated far from the speakers because the manager had decided to raise the volume more. Table placement needs to be looked at as I had to squeeze my seat closer to the table to allow servers deliver orders to the table behind me twice. There were a couple of other tables with birthdays and I was wondering when it was going to be our turn. It didn’t. The main reason for going never happened because our server forgot and after I had already asked for the tab from another server he came back asking if we wanted desserts. I said no thank you, you forgot about my daughter’s birthday. He bs’ed an excuse that they do this after dessert orders are taken. That’s great if you let your customer know before hand but we know it’s not true. So a close to $300 (nearly hidden18% tip) pretty good birthday dinner with no fanfare earns this spot two stars and likely my family not making the drive from the Redlands back to Doral.
