The door district is one of the worst vendors I have dealt with in my life. I purchased two doors for my new apartment (one for my A/C room and one for my W/D room. After paying them in full I waited three weeks for them to be ready. Once they were ready in their warehouse, they gave me the option to pay an outrageous $300 for delivery plus an extra $150 to bring the doors up to my apartment through the ELEVATOR. They also offered to install them for me at $250 per door. I decided to rent a U-haul trailer ($25 rental) instead and picked up the doors myself. Since I was remodeling my apartment I had workers who were perfectly able to install the doors for me at a fraction of the cost, so I opted for that option as well. Once I got home and opened the doors package I noticed how the louvre of the A/C room door was poorly finished and not at all painted. I called the door district and they offered to pick the door up to repair it and bring it back within two days plus they offered to install it for free given the inconvenience. After over a week of hearing all kinds of excuses I finally received the door repaired but with the unpleasant surprise that they refused to install my door. I once again called the door district and demanded to speak to the owner. He was extremely rude and aggressive. He told me that he was too busy to be dealing with my “little two door order” and that “they had never offered to install the door (basically calling me and my wife liars). Then he added that even if we wanted to pay for installation it would take up to a month before he could arrange for an installer to come. Because of their delay to deliver my door and now I don’t have anyone in my home working that can install it. AVOID THEM...
Read moreAvoid this company if you expect to deal with professionals. I went to them because my friends used them for their renovation and they appeared to be nice quality doors but they are unbelievably unprofessional, don't answer emails, and when they do reply, they don't even answer the questions asked. I asked 4 times for a simple quote, in which I supplied them with exactly what I wanted based on a picture from their own showroom, I included my dimensions and floor plans. Actually they gave me the exact quote in the past and their IT system is so ancient that they don't save old quotes. When they had questions about my request, instead of saying they had questions, they chose to just not reply. When they further understood what I wanted but then said they don't offer it without installation. So anyone with common sense would just include the quote with labor. This went on for over a month and my contractor already finished framing and couldn't keep waiting for a company to be able to just answer emails and provide quotes. If a company can't handle simple tasks, you have to really question their ability when you need them to install doors and like all construction projects, things rarely go perfectly smoothly. Avoid them altogether to save yourself a headache. This is unfortunately a common issue in Miami and finding people who are not extremely lazy at their job. They charge top dollar and if you pay for top dollar, you should get top service and you won't get that here. If you are a personal consumer and have basic questions on doors, go somewhere else. They only want to deal with people who have zero questions and just give them money with zero...
Read moreHorrible experience. We placed an order for 1 door and some paneling around in November. We were told it would be installed first week of January… It’s February 14th and we have yet to have anything installed. They contacted us 2 weeks ago that the door was received from wherever they purchased it from but installation would probably be by the end of February. We called the sales guy and emailed, they don’t respond. We asked to speak to the Manager David which was there making the same promises the day we gave the deposit and no response either. We had to physically show up to the show room where our sales rep Andres told us there’s nothing he can do he’s not in charge of installation and David which was in the back room didn’t even want to come out and address the problem. If you’re going to charge over priced for products you would atleast expect good customer service and formality in timing. FPG has the same doors for a fraction of the price and...
