I went with the family for the first time to this place. We were super excited because of the good reviews and the videos we had seen in social media. However, we had a bad experience. We decided to go on Mother’s Day without reservation (mistake on our part) before arriving I called and they said that the wait was 40 mins. I thought that was not horrible due to being mothers day, however when we got there they told us they wait time was 1 hour and 30 mins. We decided to stay and wait. We waited 2 hours and 30 mins to be seated. I believe they really don’t have enough tables for walk-ins available and if that’s the case maybe they should make the restaurant by reservation only. The host literally was super rude, I have never seen something like it, usually hosts are super friendly and welcoming because isn’t that their only job ? It was very hot outside and we were standing by the entrance, she told us we couldn’t be there which I understood and I kindly ask if the kids could stay there with the dad because of how hot it was outside (2 kids under 2 in a stroller) and she told me in a very bad way that she can’t have anybody there that there are seats outside (in the sun). We had to wait inside the cars.

I requested 3 high chairs when we approached the host after I was notified the table was ready. When she sat us down there was only one high chair and 3 menus (there were 4 adults) I had to ask the other host (light skin and shorter) to please give me 2 more high chairs and to please bring another menu that was missing. She brought the high chairs but not the menu. The first host (dark skin) is rude, with an attitude and also doesn’t even accommodate simple requests. The waiter came like 5 mins after we sat down and I asked him to please bring the extra menu and he did. We ordered drinks, the drinks were not what I expected, margaritas are not made with fresh lime, this is one of my biggest issues when I order margaritas in a restaurant and they make it with sour mix, I usually ask if they use fresh lime but I didn’t because I truly didn’t expect that from this restaurant since it has so many good reviews. The food is good but like so many people say it’s overpriced so not worth it. I honestly think they need to have a talk with that host because it doesn’t seem like she likes what she does. I am sure there will be other people that will appreciate that job more and be actually friendly to customers. When I leave my house to pay for services I expect to at least be treated kindly, especially when I’m...

A Vibrant Dive into Mexican-Asian Fusion at Chabella!

I had the delightful experience of dining at Chabella today, a unique Mexican fusion restaurant. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by a colorful and inviting ambiance – definitely not your typical Mexican eatery. The establishment balances a casual vibe with an elegant and colorful touch, making it stand out in the dining scene.

From the get-go, the staff were incredibly welcoming. A special shoutout to our server, Astrid, who was nothing short of spectacular. Her professionalism and charm only added to our overall experience.

As for the drinks, we indulged in the 'Chabella', 'El Ranchero', and 'Gussi Gin'. Each was not only delicious but presented beautifully, demonstrating the attention to detail this place has.

While we skipped the appetizers, we dove straight into the main courses. The Tacos Birrias were a standout – generously filled with meat and full of flavor. We also tried the Tuna Tostadas which were remarkably fresh. And if you're feeling particularly hungry, the 'Super Nachos' are not to be missed. While delectable, I'd have to say the Tacos Birrias still stole the show.

A considerate gesture was when they promptly provided a high chair for our baby. It's such attention to the needs of customers that makes Chabella more family-friendly.

However, a minor hiccup was the automatic addition of a tip to our bill. While I am a firm believer in tipping generously, especially when the service is as exceptional as Astrid’s, I prefer the discretion to decide. It's essential for customers to feel they're rewarding good service rather than being mandated. That said, Astrid deserved every penny and more, which she did receive from us.

In conclusion, Chabella offers a vibrant and unique dining experience with its fusion flavors, wonderful staff, and a lovely setting. I'd highly recommend it, but do check your bill for the...

This restaurant is very instagrammable and has a beautiful appeal to it that makes you want to eat the food and enjoy the setting. However, the food did not end up tasting as good as it looked, except for the tacos. I strongly recommend that if you arrive at this place that you come on a time when it isn't busy, and order the tacos. The restaurant suffers from being in a tight space, with so many people that even in a more isolated booth, you will find it hard to hear yourself think if the restaurant is full.

Absolutely avoid the Mojito. It is expensive considering how little alcohol the drink contains. My mother ordered a quesadilla that was served burnt. The cheese dip (not pictured) and picanha tacos were the best and most flavorful items. The avocado risotto is best avoided, as it effectively just tastes the same as regular guacamole, but worse. I would also recommend not ordering desserts unless you enjoy basic dishes. Neither of the choices stood out, in any case, other than the ice cream standing out for being excessively creamy and sweet. You can't go wrong with Nutella and churros unless you're not in the mood to pay $9. My uncle's filet mignion came out 20 minutes after we all had been served our meals. Overall, I would have been less harsh of a critic towards the food if the food didn't end up costing about $50 per person. For that much, we could expect more. I can tell that the restaurant has some gold nuggets hidden in its menu. It feels like they could shrink the menu, focus on their best dishes, and be able to create a more enjoyable experience. Until then, I want to say that the best part of the experience was the incredibly responsive server. I didn't manage to get her name, but she was very responsive and helped us out...

The restaurant looks to be in a warehouse/commercial retail space but the vibe and look of the restaurant is unexpectedly modern and clean. It has that Dia de Los Muertos modern aesthetic. The smell of the food makes you hungrier as you walk in through the door. There isn't a large waiting area, but the restaurant itself has a large capacity. Though we were immediately seated, it took a bit of time to get our waiter to come by the table. However, Juan was apologetic, and his recommendations were excellent. The timing of our food was also a bit off as we got our apps after our lunch. I would say this was the only thing that needed improvement. Drinks - Margarita and signature drink, La Chabella - came stat. The food is a Mexican and Caribbean fusion and everything was packed full of flavor. My husband and I both got the lunch fajita bowl. I had the vegan birria as the "meat" and it made my mouth so very happy. Mushrooms were reduced in the restaurant's birria broth. Super flavorful and saucy enough to work as moistening for the white rice. My husband had the al pastor and ate every last bite - and those portions were quite generous. I was too full for dessert, así que será para la proxima. Bonus - cool hallway to the bathroom for fun pics. Sorry I forgot pics for the food... I was too busy stuffing my face!
