Not so accurate as the one in Barranquilla or Cartagena, Colombia but it's what's available as close to home. I mainly only visit here when my mom wants Carimañola de Queso & Arepa de Huevo; that's about it which they are absolutely delicious. It is all freshly made when you order big amounts therefore hot and crispy outside. They offer "cantina" which is prefix lunch specials for a certain price. Not many Colombian restaurants sale Pony Malta so when I visit is a must have! Parking can a little hectic as there are too many restaurants and business and not enough parking. Only thing is it closes at 5 pm if you're planning to take something home for dinner make sure you go before because they close on the dot! Highly Recommended!

I asked them to make me fresh Arepas una de Dulce y de huevo and happily they said yes. The customer service was nice. I ordered 1 arepa dulce y 1 de huevo. When they came out, they seemed ‘not fresh’ but they were hot so I am trusting they had just made them. Once I took a bite they both were hard I think because they are frozen(am assuming). And la arepa de dulce was too sweet and just didn’t have good texture. La arepa de huevo was even worse. I told them about it and they, without any hesitation, replaced them. They were very nice. I asked if it was going to make a difference and it didn’t. They were just as bad if not worse. The second arepa de huevo the they gave me was worse. It was so thin and just as hard. It was $10 for two arepas and a small coffee plus I added a tip! La verdad estás arepas estuvieron malísimas. El trato hacia el cliente súper bueno. Pedí q me las hicieran ahí mismo y así fue. Cuando salieron se veían ‘extrañas’. La de dulce estaba extra dulce y la de huevo peor…Las dos estaban duras. Creo q pq estaban congeladas y no recién hechas. Les dije a ellos y enseguida me la cambiaron. Hasta les pregunté si haría una diferencia o son usualmente así y me dijeron q no deberían de estar duras. Dije que sí, que me las cambiaran y cuando salieron fueron igual o hasta peor(la arepa de huevo). Igual de duras, igual de dulce(la de dulce) y la huevo fue peor pq el huevo no se veía como lo pueden ver en las fotos. Me gustó el servicio del cliente pero las arepas NO. Pague $10 dólares por una arepa de huevo, una de dulce y un café pequeño y di extra de propina.

This place is delicious but very overpriced $$$$. I came here specifically for the MOTE DE QUESO which is a classic soup made with white cheese and ñame usually from the north of Colombia. It’s a rare find but they charge $18 plus tax for this small bowl you see in the photo. Plus there are no sides included. I asked them to put it in a to-go bowl because if they serve it on a bowl to eat there the portion is actually about 1/3 of shown. They use those small styrofoam bowls which are like kid size portions.

When you are visiting a town, finding a good place to eat can be difficult. Go to Narcobollo Café and all of your concerns will fade away. What an amazing place. Hard to find but so worth the trip. The bollos are amazing! The staff are so helpful even with the most useless customer (don't ask for the vegetable soup when they don't have one and then get upset when they do their hardest to accommodate you) but back to my wonderful experience with this location. The food has the traditional Colombian flavor and texture. Of course the bollos are off the charts, but the rest of the options are also very good. You see how fresh the food is as soon as you walk in. Do yourself a favor and visit this...

Below expectations, more like a cafeteria setting and not what I expected. The food sits in the warmers just waiting for you to walk in and reduce the amout of whats been waiting. The staff is quick to try to set up the styrofoam plating asap. I have been to other places like this before and generally not impressed. I believe for the price there are other places to compete in that aspect and will give you a quality feel for that similar pricing. Much like a fast food experience that seems better then fast food served cold. It doesn't connect that cultural feel of the food that is prepared to order. As a food truck taste for your senses I'd except it only on the run....
