Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Doral

I visited Jersey Mike’s in Doral, FL (Store #13229) on August 11 at 11:10 AM. I ordered a #13 Regular and paid $11.72 via Apple Pay. After the cashier entered the order, they walked away from the register. My payment was approved, I grabbed my sandwich and left. Later that day, I checked my bank statement and saw the total had been changed to $14. This location claimed I “left a tip,” even though I never saw a tip option and certainly did not authorize one. I believe they added a $3 tip to my order after I left. While $3 is not a large amount, doing this without my consent is theft and, in my opinion, credit card fraud.

When I called, I spoke to someone named Nathan who was dismissive and said, “It’s only $3.” He refused to provide any contact information to escalate the matter. This lack of integrity and customer service is unacceptable. They have lost my business permanently, and I hope the owners take action to stop this...

I've been to another Jersey Mike's here in Doral in the past and it was a really bad experience. What a complete difference this place is to my prior experience. I watched the cook make my delicious Famous Cheesesteak Sandwich and it was fresh and delicious. I clearly remember the cashier asking me if I had a registration with the restaurant and I said no but honestly if they keep cooking this good that sandwich I'm going to be going more often and sign up right away. Do not go here for lunch during the week. They cannot handle the capacity or don’t have enough people working. I ordered ahead on the phone, they told me it will be ready when I get there. Obviously I wouldn’t expect it to be ready that fast because I was on my way. They give me one sandwhich and the second one which was a hot one they don’t give me until after standing there 25 minutes. So I will never be returning to this location. And In general in the future I will just get fire house subs for lunch. I also hate that I tip on the ipad and this happens. If I had a way to get my $3 back that I tipped, I would.
