Vera Pizza and Cucina Doral
We recently had the pleasure of dining at a new pizza and pasta restaurant in Doral, FL, Vera Pizza and Cucina and I must say, it was a delightful surprise! The moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warm ambiance and the enticing aroma of freshly baked Italian dishes.
What really stood out was the authenticity of the food. All the ingredients are imported from Italy, and it’s evident that everything is homemade, including the pasta! The wood-fired pizza oven takes center stage in the restaurant, and it definitely lives up to the hype. The pizzas are truly amazing—crispy crust, flavorful toppings, and just the right amount of cheese.
The service was first-class. The owner and his family are part of the small, dedicated staff, and their attentiveness made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Despite being a small restaurant with just a few tables, the intimate setting adds to the charm.
For our meal, my husband ordered the rigatoni bolognese, while I opted for the ravioli ossobuco. Both dishes were outstanding—tasty and incredibly fresh! To top off our meal, we indulged in cannoli and tiramisu for dessert, both of which were delightful and the perfect end to our dining experience.
What impresses me the most about this new gem is the quality of food and service. I have no doubt that we’ll need to make reservations in the future because this place is bound to become a local favorite. If you’re in the area, don’t miss the chance to experience this amazing restaurant! Highly...
Read moreIt was a pleasant surprise to discover a true gem of Neapolitan cuisine in the heart of Doral. Both Mafer and Lucia gave us 5-star attention, they were extremely attentive and offered us different suggestions based on our culinary preferences, then we had a very pleasant conversation with Rafaele who is the owner and founder of Vera Pizza and who spoke to us very appropriately. about his dishes, his ingredients and his impressive career as a chef since his beginnings in Naples and his time in different countries, giving us the privilege of having him in our neighborhood. We only had the chance to try the Vera pizza which contains prosciutto, burrata and argula, which was fabulous, being one of the best pizzas I have tasted in a long time. We finished with dessert, a Neapolitan cannoli that I only compare with the best I have eaten in Italy. In short, we had an excellent evening, with spectacular attention in a simple and at the same time very nice and cozy atmosphere. Many thanks to Rafaele and his team for all their attention. I can't wait to go back and try other dishes on the menu that look fabulous, such as the Arancini, the octopus leg, the pasta carbonara, the tiramisu, among others. I hope to...
Read moreThis restaurant is a great choice for a delicious pizza. Is kind of new in the area of Doral and I must say that I loved the flavors and the choices they have on the menu. Also, they offer extras for your pizza at a very reasonable price, which I loved. I ordered a Pizza Margherita with extra arugula and burrata, it was delicious and the final price was just $16, not bad at all. The only downside this particular day is that there was a birthday party in the restaurant and since the space is very small, this party was very big and loud. They were yelling a lot and it was very uncomfortable. We had to yell at each other to have a decent conversation. I believe the manager or the waitresses should have told the party to keep it together. In the end, my Mom told them to please be considerate to others and us but they were already leaving. After all the waitress came to apologize and gave us a free dessert and we took it gracefully. It was a very nice gesture from them. I will definitely come back because I love the pizza and the service. Willing to try the...
