4/18/25 - For lunch during the week, I try to visit different restaurants. Coworker recommended this one, so we decided to give it a try. Party of 8. Pros: We sat right away after checking in. The waitress was excellent. Very cordial and helpful because of our first time following the menu items. There are a lot of selections, all looking delicious. The front of the menu has a $30 dollars 3 course lunch, but on the back of the lunch menu they have more lunch specials around $18 dollars. I decided to share the Bandeja Paisa. Food was DELICIOUS 😋., Meat was excellent in flavor and tenderness. We also had the pulpo carpaccio, lunch branzino and few other items. For desert we had the papaya slices with cream cheese which was also delicious. Space is very ample, wasnt noise and we all felt comfortable. Once we placed our order, we got our food very quickly. I would say in about 10-15 minutes we all started receiving our orders. Now for the Cons: Parking.. Parking is tight. There wasn't much. For being Good Friday, place was packed during lunch. Im not sure how it will be when we try it again In a week or two. My next and last con is the size and price of the bandeja paisa. While it was very very delicious, the amount is very small for a $32 dollar plate. I've had bandejas in the $20 dollar range that are double the size of this one... Please consider increasing the amount of frijoles, arepitas and the meat. Chorizo and chicharrón were decently sized. Overall we all loved the food and we will definitely come back for lunch. Unfortunately it's a bit far from the office, but good thing is if the service was as quick as today, then we should be ok. We would just need to know what to order right when we get in Give them a try, everything we had was delicious 😋.

Mordisco is a beautiful, modern, and quaint restaurant in the corner of a busy plaza. I was so very excited to see what they did with the place! What was once a desolate location is now beautifully charming and lively. Their bar is stunningly decorated with an Araguaney tree, reminiscent of Venezuela’s natural beauty. A very nostalgic sight for all of us Venezuelans here in Doral! The bar is fully stocked with all sorts of spirits ranging from cordials to rum, gin, and even mezcal (which is rare to see), and their cocktail menu is robust, varied, and very well prepared. The arepitas (I ate them before I could take a picture) were perfectly crispy and golden brown, the perfect size to satisfy you but leave you wanting another one, and beautifully presented. The queen arepa (reina pepiada for us Venezuelans) was truly the best I’ve had outside of Venezuela! The chicken was roasted and added a great flavor to the spread, and the cream was multi-faceted and smooth. The carne en vara carpaccio arepa was also incredibly yummy, with shaved parmigiana on top, subtle truffle oil drizzled throughout, and tender, juicy pieces of thinly cut meat. A very unique arepa and a must-order! The waiters and waitresses were incredibly attentive and responsive. Daniella was our waitress and would immediately tend to our table as soon as we were done, gave great recommendations and imagery of the dishes, and made sure to check up on us. Thank you Daniella! Mordisco is a great place to have a drink at the bar and get some quick, yummy bites like the arepitas or their appetizers, or to sit down and enjoy their menu with some friends while having a chat.

We heard about this new spot with Venezuelan and Caribbean flavors and had to go check it out! Chef Cesar always has these amazing ideas taking his native Venezuelan cuisine and expanding it into the market in Miami. From the second you walk in, you’ll get the fun vibes of the place with their open kitchen, flaming grill, and a beautiful tree placed at the bar. We started with the Mordisco Old Fashioned a Roraima and wow was it good!!! For appetizers, we got the black bean hummus, which was incredible with the little arepitas! And when I saw Diablito Sifrino Dip, first I laughed, then I became nostalgic of my childhood in Venezuela, and then curiosity to see what it was! And I’m so happy we ordered it! Don’t leave without it! And the last appetizer, we heard the Mordisco Carpaccio was a must and we were so happy we ordered it!!! We then moved on to 3 arepitas, one was The Queen, a fun twist on the Reina Pepiada. Then more diablito sifrino in my arepa, and last their Caribbean octopus which was incredible! And last, a good pasta! But this was the Fettuccine Margariteño, because Margarita island in Venezuela is full of seafood! Love the name and dedication to this gorgeous part of Venezuela! We then finished the night off with a tiramisu crepe cake. So fluffy and so many layers! Overall, this is an excellent date night spot! Be sure to reserve ahead of time, they are always packed!!!

Eduardo our server suggested we try the Diablito sifrino which was a upgraded version of our processed ham we know and loved and was a fun way to start our lunch with the creamy ceviche carnavalero, followed with a nice fettuccine margariteño, the carne en vara (vacio), ensalada Caesar... even though I liked better the house salad and the Bandeja paisa!!! Of course there is always space for dessert so we had to try the Brownie alla mode and those crispy churros: yummmmm! The space was a bit on the too crowded side, we had a reservation and had to wait at least 15 minutes to get seated, the decor was cute, the Araguaney in the bar made a cute impression and was an awesome way to bring a very characteristic piece of our roots, in the mid of that industrial style showing a modern yet cozy place. Will return to try the carne en vara carpaccio, the tiramisu and probably the tropical iced tea my mother loved (I had a guanabana juice aka sour soup milkshake) Hopefully we will get the same server as we like how patient, fast, professional as well as his recommendations were so on point.

Let me start with the fact that the waiting time was insane, but we didn’t have a reservation…However, the experience make up for the wait. Next time we come, we are definitely making a reservation, because the food is really really good. Very good experience, the food has a touch that brings it to another level, my family is used to go to restaurants and try new things and this was an amazing experience for all of us. From the appetizer to the main meal and desserts was delicious. Alejandra, Eduardo, franmary and all the workers make our experience even better, definitely Worth it!! They always treat us like family, and make us feel like home. The ambiance is nice, and elegant but at the same time is chill and cozy. The details on every little detailed is palpable, they are very attentive and friendly. If you are coming please make a reservation and save yourself from the waiting time, the restaurant is so good there’s always new people coming in and the restaurant is not that big. But try it you won’t regret it. Your welcome :)

If you're craving the heartwarming flavors of Venezuelan cuisine, Mordisco Miami is the perfect spot! We started with the crispy cachapa balls and arepas with cream, both appetizers capturing the authentic taste and textures of Venezuelan street food with a gourmet twist. For our mains, we had the Parrilla Mordisco, a hearty mixed grill, and the Cazuela de Mariscos, which brought back memories of traditional Venezuelan seafood dishes, comforting, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. To end the meal on a sweet note, we tried the coconut quesillo and the pineapple with ice cream, both perfectly balanced desserts that were a delightful way to finish this culinary journey. The ambiance at Mordisco Miami is warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot to gather with family and friends while enjoying authentic Venezuelan flavors. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relive the tastes of Venezuela or explore them for the first time!
