I work for DeKalb County D.O.T (Department Of Transportation), and on my Mondays I come here to eat lunch and I'm able to get some administration work done online on my computer at the same time as well while enjoying the good food, service, and atmosphere that is very comforting to me. And also the servers make sure you're taken care of when sitting and eating as well, which is a plus that I appreciate very much. As a matter of fact they have such good servers that I was sitting and enjoying my lunch today and an older Caucasian male sat at a table that was one table over to the right of were I was sitting as he waiting on his food. So, when the server who's name was Caleb came to bring the old guy his food, he read off what the old guy ordered to ensure that it was the right order. Now, as I'm looking at this, I noticed that the colorful little stand thing that Chick-fil-A gives you so the server will know what table you are at and what you have ordered, was laying down where you couldn't tell what it said. Thereafter, reading what the order was, the old guy proceeded to say in a very disrespectful way "did you have to kill the chicken"?!!!!! And then after that he proceeded to say other disrespectful things to the young man Caleb. But did the old guy noticed that that his little colorful table stand over indicator was laying flat where the server could not read it? No, he didn't!!!. He just out of nowhere projected disrespect to the young Chick-fil-A server. But the Chick-fil-A server Caleb just brushed it off and didn't say anything and walked away and kept on about his business not letting it fade him. And the old guy was still cursing and calling him names as Caleb was walking away. I was very impressed by the young guy Caleb's discipline and excellence of how he handled that situation. Because nothing that he did warranted the narcissistic egotistical disrespect that that old guy out of nowhere started coming off on him with. I know this is long but I just wanted to acknowledge that I was impressed with what I saw, and it reaffirmed why I like coming there to eat on my lunch break especially with the good servers who work there along with the food and the...
Read moreI took 2 stars off because nearly every visit, the food is warm and doesn’t taste freshly cooked. I always order around 1-2 PM on weekdays during my lunch break. I prefer and like my food as hot and freshly cooked as possible. Whenever I purchase lukewarm and old tasting food, the meal is ruined for me and my money is wasted.
About 2 hours ago, I redeemed rewards for fries and a frosted lemonade from my purchase earlier today which was originally from a grilled chicken sandwich meal. The sandwich didn’t taste freshly cooked and was lukewarm too but I didn’t want to overdo it and redeem the whole meal. The fries were soggy, turning brown, and lukewarm instead of crispy and hot. The frosted lemonade I had was thawed out and loose. I thought frosted meant frozen or somewhat stiff, like it should take a little while to drink.
The staff is also mildly polite. They’re not outright rude but at this location, they don’t greet you half of the time and they don’t say thank you. I’ve seen on social media that Chick-fil-A has a reputation for upbeat and nice staff, always smiling and cheerful. I’ve even heard jokes about it. I can say I’ve experienced this throughout my visits to different locations in various states so I was under the impression that it was true. This location has not lived up to the hype. When I saw the lemonade sitting, I told the young man that I thought it was mine and I wanted to take it before it started to melt because they don’t taste great when they start melting. He had a dull expression and demeanor, like he didn’t want to spend too much time interacting with me. I guess it was due to me having an allergy flare up while I was talking.
He slid the drink on the counter to me and walked off. When the fries were up, the young woman just slid my bag on the counter to me and walked off, avoiding eye contact, no smile or thank you. I’m not sure if I did something wrong but you would think I did. The fries were hot and crisp, tasted like a fresh batch. The lemonade was pretty much the same. I don’t know if it’s the machine or the drink itself but it was already starting to loosen and thaw after it had...
Read moreJune 30, 17, approximately 6:20 pm, I was rudely reprimanded by a female drive thru worker complaining that I didnt place order at reception b4 pick up window. The reason I told her was bcuz at reception speaker I could faintly hear somebody talking which I thought was trying to get my order. I, or anyone experiencing this would logically drive to the ahead window and I had no problem with that. Yet, they wanted to argue the fact of what I thought nothing of. I explained to them the above and was told if patient I would have heard them following what they said was feedback. I said well leave your mike off until your ready to take order bcuz we dont know this. The worker still chose to discomfort my visit by telling me three times in a row for me to have a nice day in a sarcastic demeanor as if Im a problem. Another time leaving the drive thru I noticed my beverage was only half full and went around drive thru to correct. I had no idea that they would deny such a simple request I was told they cant do this bcuz their not allowed to give refills at drive thru. I just left and didnt argue the fact they only filled half way. I have had enough of this store after three years of constant patronage due to ignorance(fighting with customers) and rudeness. Also you need to check your order b4 you leave becuz several times it has been wrong. When I left the drive thru I looked at my receipt which had thier number. I called the number to let the manager know my encounter. I recognized the answering voice as the argumentive person again. She stated the manager is busy and can I assist you. I hung up and called corporation. On each side of this store is Zaxbys and Bojangles. I will patronize them now. As a Catholic and knowing Chic Fila honors Chritianity was my main reason of devoted patronage. This has hit the wayside after dealing...
