Delicious!! I randomly decided to come here after driving into the city for an appointment and researching places to try, and this joint did not disappoint! We arrived on Saturday morning, and it was jumping! Lots of people outside sitting down, inside waiting for food and placing orders. DJ took our order, and let me say to the business owner, manager, whoever is in charge that she is a gem!! I don’t know how you found her or if she found you, but you are lucky to have her! She has impeccable customer service and people skills. As I mentioned earlier, it was quite busy at the time we went, and she was a calm in the storm and was a master at keeping the ship in order and running smoothly, ironing out any kinks that may arise with a smile and an expression of gratitude. The service she provided rivaled that of expensive, pretentious restaurants. Next, let’s get into the food—the ABC sandwich. I’m not even a chicken sandwich kind of chick, but this one right here is it! Like, for real. Don’t believe me? Test me. Try it for yourself! The chicken was tender, juicy, and seasoned. The slaw and I don’t even get down with slaw like that either, but it was so fresh with diced apples for additional texture and crunch. The sauce, I don’t know what it is, but it was everything. The pickles were on point. Every aspect of the sandwich was well thought out and top-tier, and when combined, it makes for something oh-so-special! The fries that came with it were not an afterthought. They were on the same wavelength as that fantastic sandwich, and it was all a symphony. My daughter had a pork and rice dish (forgot the name) with cilantro and a fried egg (not pictured) on the side, and that was delectable. Our drinks were also incredible; she had an iced chai latte. And I don’t know what I had to drink, but it was delicious. We enjoyed our food outside, and I loved the little garden in front. I must say that I will drive 35 miles from my house to come here again (coming from the city the drive their was shorter but i still had to get back home 😅)! Keep up the great work, Java Saga; you are the hero in...

I'm here a couple of times a week. It's little chicken place, parading as a coffee shop. There are a few seats inside and nice patio for when the weather is good. The staff is friendly. It's cooked to order so it usually takes a few minutes to get your order.
I'm addicted to the Chick-bits. They are moist and tender with a crispy crust. I like the spicy seasoning on them with white sauce.
I started by eating the chicken cutlet (ji pai) because I read promising reviews in the paper. I would have it with the fries, with Taiwanese seasoning. However, the portions are pretty generous here and I swapped to eating the chick bits to protect my burly figure.
If you're a fan of great fries, these are always hot and delicious. They come with a seasoning that's great. If you're dairy free, tell them, the seasoning has some ranch powder.
The loaded fries are over the top and more than a meal. He makes a dairy free version for me, which is still creamy with a couple of mayo-based sauces. They compliment the spicy seasoning.
They have a creamy coleslaw (bae slaw) which is chunky with a twangy sauce. My favorite is the diakon slaw which is long shreds of horse radish and carrots in a light vinegar dressing.
They started as a food truck, having lots of teas and coffee drinks. I've had their citrus and ginger teas in the summer, but in the winter, I focus on the espresso in chai tea.
They have other dishes with a Taiwanese flair. However, if this is your first time, you should really try the chicken sandwich or the chick bits. They are tender, delicious and as amazing as the...
Read moreThis spot is another one in the Prep "restaurant accelerator" area, where we've already tried a couple of joints and came away intrigued. In these pandemonium times, places like this are like a Krog street market but outdoors, so you can enjoy yourself with more peace of mind. The wifey is a big fan and supporter of all things Taiwanese, and I happen to love a fried chicken sandwich, that after she found this spot during her search, we decided to see if they were legit. We went a weekday lunch hour to take advantage of the outdoor seating and warm sun during these breezy months. Their storefront doesn't have much for seating, but if you walk around you'll find more agreeable outdoor seating. I got the ABC sandwich and wifey got another one. They were both $10 a pop just for the burger, the fries were an additional $4. The fried chicken piece was generously portioned, and it had slaw and their special sauce. The fries were a mix of fries and tots, randomly assorted. The seasoning consisted of bonito and some other herbs. The best part was the green sauce that came with it. Pretty darn good. The fried chicken sandwich was excellent, crispy, well seasoned, and enjoyable. Same for the fries. Wife agreed with the assessment. One demerit is the price. $14 for a sandwich and fries, not including a drink. Well over double what chains with respectable chicken sandwiches charge, but it was not doubly as good. Maybe 1.5 times as good. Aside from the high prices, the meal was very enjoyable and worth a treat...
