Updated, 5/2020: We ordered take-out during Covid-19. We got the Wonton Soup (shrimp and pork), Malaysian Style Chicken Curry (boneless) with fried buns, and Black Pepper Steak. Everything was just as delicious as when we ate in the restaurant. Everyone working at the restaurant was wearing a mask when my husband went to pick it up. It only took about 20 minutes from the time we ordered to the time it was ready. Still delicious. Still highly recommend.
Original: TL/DR: Get the Malaysian Style Chicken Curry (with half steamed buns and half fried buns) and the Black Pepper Steak.
We were a party of 2 on a Friday night at 8:30 and were seated right away.
We were between ordering the Scallion Chicken and the Malaysian Style Chicken Curry (bone-in) ($13.50). Our waiter recommended ordering the curry. We had the option of getting steamed buns or fried buns. When we couldn’t decide, he offered bringing 3 of each. We got the chicken with the bone in because it was more traditional. However, next time I think we’d get it boneless because it’s easier to eat and we’re lazy. We didn’t know how to eat it, so we looked idiots as I was trying to take the chicken off of the bone with my chopsticks and my husband put the chicken in the steam bun. Luckily, the owner (I think) came over to show us how to do it. He explained that we put the entire piece in our mouth and chew off the meat, then take the bones out. We then dip the buns in the sauce. The chicken was great, the sauce was so delicious, but I’m going to dream about the buns. The fried buns tasted like donuts, they were so sweet and perfect. But we couldn’t have done all 6 fried—that would’ve been too much. The steamed buns were also great and getting 3 of each was the perfect balance.
The Black Pepper Steak ($15.99) was super tasty. It came with onions and peppers. The steak was super tender and tasted like a really great, quality cut of meat.
The service was great, the portions were big (we have leftovers of both), and the food came out so fast! We think we’ve found our new favorite Asian crestaurant on Buford Highway, if...
Read moreBobogardenga is hands down the most authentic Cantonese restaurant I’ve found around here! The two uncles inside are incredibly kind, friendly, and professional — their warm hospitality made the whole experience feel like home.
We ordered three types of claypot rice: • D3 Spare Ribs with XO Sause • D5 Chinese Preserved Meat & Spare Ribs with Black Bean Sause • D6 Chinese Preserved Meat
They kindly let us know it takes about 30 minutes to prepare since claypot rice is cooked fresh. Totally worth the wait! The rice was perfectly crispy at the bottom, flavorful, and packed with that classic wok aroma. We ate every single grain — it was that good.
We also had the C15 Lamb Brisket Hotpot (seasonal price), which was absolutely worth it. Every ingredient complemented each other beautifully, especially the bamboo shoots — so tender and full of flavor. The lamb was incredibly soft, juicy, and well-marinated.
And don’t miss the Snow Pea Leaves in Superior Broth with Century Egg and Salted Egg Yolk — rich, umami-packed, and so comforting.
This meal left me beyond satisfied. It’s the kind of food I could eat every day — comforting, delicious, and made with heart. Highly,...
Read moreWe visited Bo Bo Garden Asian Cuisine one afternoon on a family getaway visiting Atlanta and the surrounding area. It offers plenty of choices especially for seafood lovers looking for some unique dishes and flavors. The spinning tables are nice for sharing the various foods available with a big family and the portions are pretty big go all to enjoy. Overall we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant.
My main concern in our visit was with the service itself. We had ordered a couple of to-go items that the server did not bring out after a lengthy amount of time. When the server brought our checks we let them know we had still not received the to-go order food and would rather cancel if it had not been made as we were ready to leave based on the wait we had already experienced waiting for the check. They assured us the food was already made and just needed to be packaged and brought out. It took the server another twenty minutes to return and being on a family trip and ready to hit the road home this did not sit well for me and my family. It did not feel like very thoughtful service...
