Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Dover

I am usually a pretty tolerant person when it comes to the service industry due to being in the field and knowing how difficult it is these days and how the general public act on a regular basis, however my wife and I and another couple were at the Dover chilis for dinner Monday the 8th and had the worst service and experience you could think of, 1st off the hostess didn't seem to really know what she was doing, she sat people before us that came in after us and wasn't taking anyone's names right off so she would lose track of who came first etc. after waiting and finally getting seated we waited for a bit and no-one came to the table, they sat 2 more tables probably 10-15 minutes after us and the waitress went to them before us, when she finally got to us we were fully ready to order our meal, 3 of us ordered margaritas, and we got chips and salsa once the margs and the chips were gone we sat there to no-one checking back with us, then she came back and they wanted waters and were fully planning on ordering more drinks when our food came, but they were never able to order more drinks, 3 of us ordered fajitas and when they came out there was no normal hot sizzling plates like chilis is known for the cast iron was warm to the touch but no where as hot as normal, after we got our food they brought out fajitas to a table near us and we could hear there plates sizzling like expected, and after that we never saw the waitress again until we after sitting there done for over a half an hour tracked someone down to find our waitress and bring us our bill and to go boxes, the problem I have has is she was very attentive to the table near us that had 2 gentleman at it, she stopped at there table multiple times but not ours, we typically enjoy chilis but not last night its...

I was surprised, the other times I have been to a Chilis the experience was exceptional. My fiancee and I had our first date at Chilis in Portland 1 year ago, since that one shut down we went to this one for our anniversary date. The server was great, very friendly, energetic, but... My fiancee and I both ordered well done burgers off the 3 for me menu item, both burgers came to us really fast, and with a predominate bright pink line in the burger, my fiancee is very picky and she specifically asked for "very well done". Our order was promptly fixed and made right, they did a great job fixing it fast and to perfection and it tasted delicious. When I went to pay the bill, I noticed that we were charged almost $4 for a water we didnt get (which according to our waiter was added on accident) and $2 for 2 small sides of sour cream, which had I known I wouldnt have asked for a side of sour cream to go with my chips since the 2oz cups were maybe 2/3rds filled?. My fiancee wanted to order the mini-molten cake for the extra $4 (which is probably why the water was added to the order in its place), it was never put on our order until we asked. On top of everything else my receipt is all over the place! I still dont know if it is accurate! The food was delicious, but the experience was.... not what I have had in the past, and with it being a special day on top of everything else.. just unexpected I guess. The location was not exceptionally busy, it appeared to be accurately staffed and there was no wait on a Saturday night for us to get a table. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. I had recently tried the chilis we had here in Portland and fell in love so much so that when they closed here in maine I just HAD to come to the New Hampshire location when I was able to afford it. Very upset at myself for not checking before my boyfriend and I left,

1. I didn’t get the chicken bacon ranch quesadillas
2. the “street corn” was just corn. 99% of it was rubbed with butter and 1% of the seasonings (the biggest disappointment honestly)
3. the rice was the worst rice I’ve EVER had in my life and I’ve had uncooked rice. Literally tasted like there was something in there that wasn’t supposed to be eaten
4. the ribs 😭 THE RIBS. They were 90% bone and 10% meat 😕 this is why they say just cook at home. I made better ribs my first time.
5. the “crispy chicken crispers” weren't not only not crispy but didn’t have any flavor
6. the ranch tasted and looked as if it was diluted with water
